You might think that 'spherical' would be a bad shape for something designed for demolitions, because it'd have a tendency to roll away from whatever you're trying to blow up, possibly toward you, or your supply of extra bombs.
You'd be correct, too, so it's fortunate that these bombs weren't in fact designed for demolitions, but for throwing at monsters.
