So... Many... Skulls...

So... Many... Skulls...
So... Many... Skulls...

You crest a tombstone-studded rise in Fear Man's level, and find yourself looking down on a valley. It must be the way forward. You scramble down the hill into the bottom of the valley, which, given how steep it is, could more easily be described as a canyon, and given how entirely lined with human skulls it is could more easily be described as the most terrifying canyon you've ever seen.

This is going to be a scary walk. Are you sure you're ready?

Yea, you walk through the valley of skulls

You begin walking. At first it's not so bad. The skulls are scary, sure, but if you think about it, they're really no different than rocks.

Rocks that look at you. Rocks that... smile at you.

Rocks that, the closer you listen, seem to whisper to you. To laugh at you.

HPYou lose X hit points. (spooky damage)
  • If you are beaten up:

You black out, and wake up back at your campsite. The fear was too much for you. You must've run back here without even realizing you were running.

  • If you survive the spooky damage without getting beaten up:

You emerge into the gloom at the other end of the valley. It's dreary, but compared to what you've been through it might as well be midday sunlight.

You made it. The way forward is clear now.

  • With at least 25 spooky resistance.
You fear no evil

You aren't afraid of these skulls. In fact, you're so unafraid that you start picking them up and shaking them to see if there are any loose goodies inside. You eventually find the lucky one!

You acquire an item: flickering pixel

No, not yet. I am afraid.

You go back the way you came. Your heart can't take the strain of this place any longer.

Occurs at Fear Man's Level

Notes

  • X starts at 250 HP, but can be reduced by spooky resistance.
  • The flickering pixel can only be collected once per account. The option will disappear in subsequent encounters.

  • The labels for the first two choices are based on the 4th verse of Psalm 23, particularly the King James version: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil".
