Southern Building (Upstairs)
- The first time:
The upper level of the building is even greener than the downstairs was; the entire roof is missing, and creepers, vines, and branches spread everywhere, drinking in the sunlight. You step carefully, keeping an eye out for patches of floor that have rotted away without the support of tree branches pushing up from the level below.
- After defeating the giant jungle python:
The upper level of the building is even greener than the downstairs was; the entire roof is missing, and creepers, vines, and branches spread everywhere, drinking in the sunlight. The corpse of the gigantic python that attacked you earlier hangs in limp coils from the tree branches.
- After cutting open the snake:
The upper level of the building is even greener than the downstairs was; the entire roof is missing, and creepers, vines, and branches spread everywhere, drinking in the sunlight. The corpse of the gigantic python is gone, presumably dragged away by some jungle scavenger.

Krakrox scratched his chin while pondering the massive snake. A python of that size could swallow a person easily -- perhaps even a large cow. And if it had ever eaten something wearing or carrying a stone or metal object... well, he had known adventurers who referred to snakes as "nature's treasure chest". Not that there were likely to have been any people here for it to eat in quite a while, but it never hurt to be certain. He pulled the snake down from the tree branches, and took a knife from his boot.
After a few minutes spent with your arms inside the guts of a giant snake, your hand encounters something hard. You pull out a small angular stone block, two or three inches across. Wiping it off on some leaves, you declare that to be all the fishing around inside a snake's bowels that you're going to do today.

Finding the quiet of the ancient city to be a bit... disquieting, Krakrox decided to return to the jungle for a bit to stretch his legs -- or rather, his sword.
Er... well, you know what I mean.

Poking around in an abandoned ruin was starting to grate on Krakrox's nerves. He was a man of action, ill-suited to scavenger hunts and puzzley nonsense.
You decide to return to the jungle and find something to kill instead.

Notes
The "Cut open the snake" option appears after you have defeated the python, but not after you have retrieved the little stone block.
