Talk:%playername the Adventurer
Are combat messages tied to the avatar? I think I've got only "food-related spell" ones from a Pastamancer. -- wRAR (talk) 09:53, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- I got all the same messages as/against both a
Disco BanditSauceror and an Accordion Thief. I've permed a food-related spell or two, but checking permed skills to see which messages to use seems contrary to the deliberate vagueness of the messages themselfs. --billybobfred (talk) 16:00, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
thwaitgold
- the page says you don't get thwaitgold out of season. this didn't used to be the case. did something change? when? --Evilkolbot (talk) 22:46, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- You do get thwaitgold out of season, and that disclaimer is meant to just be for the spleen. It is pretty unclear though. --Darkcodelagsniper (talk) 22:49, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Male text
We had the male gendered text on The Adventurer, only realised after it was deleted. Discordance (talk) 18:53, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Stun resistance
I cast Curse of Indecision, and on that same round it gave the message "Your opponent shakes his head rapidly, and his eyes gradually refocus. Looks like he's shaking off your curse. (STUN RESISTED!)". He didn't act that round. Was "STUN RESISTED!" added along with "CRITICAL HIT!"? --Vorzer (talk) 17:07, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- The STUN RESISTED message was added at the same time as Love Bugs, although it is not limited to them. I guess since Jick added a stun skill as an IotM he wanted stun resistance to be more newbie friendly. The message had nothing to do with this monster. --Bale (talk) 01:51, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
Image, Meat Drop
My previous ascension was AWOL Cow Puncher, and the image showed up as a seal clubber. I received 204 meat with about +317% meat drop, maybe a base of 50 meat?--AstronautGuy (talk) 10:53, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
- Taking a look at your ascension history, seal clubber was the last of the 6 basic classes that you started an ascension with. I'd assume that the criterion listed on the page is still correct. --Darkcodelagsniper (talk) 23:12, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
