The bug appears to be fixed, I just planted my acorn and adventured for 10 turns without getting the familiar. My impression is that these rewards will come on the first available turn, and not randomly after a while. Mikachu 12:59, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

You still get this adventure if you wait more than one KoL year before adventuring again. I planted the acorn and then went away from the game, now quite a few KoL years later I got it on my first adventure. -- NitraMo TT 07:39, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Weirdness - I could have sworn on the last Arrrbor Day that I participated in that I planted the acorn AND planted 100+ trees. I got the familiar, but digging through the deitritus yielded no reward. --Glukthar 19:45, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
