Talk:4-d camera

From A KoL Wiki

different Monster encountered than copied

I just encounterd this after trapping a raver giant:

"You're fighting a lobsterfrogman

You reach down to open up the camera, but before you can do so, it's ripped into bits as a full-sized lobsterfrogman explodes out from inside it...

You get the jump on him.

You fish around in your opponent's pocket, but you don't find anything.

He squints one eye at you, holds up his pincer, and tries to squish your head. Fortunately, there is nobody home."

i was bounty-hunting ravers, so maybe it had somethiing to do with it.

References

The item description sounds like a reference to a Goosebumps book which name escapes me at the moment. --Lemon-claw 01:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Why in the world would this be a references to the video game rather than the song "Shake, Rattle and Roll"? It seems absurd to me.--Nolij 19:34, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say, "Wow." The world's record for references was previously held by the pronoun "it", but we have today seen a single letter be taken as a reference. I'd say the end of the world is approaching. - Msanychta (talk|contribs) 13:23, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Messages

Just tried to copy a newt (had auto-attack on CLEESH, opps!) and got this "This moment is too horrifying to commit to film. You can't bring yourself to snap the picture." I assume its the message for a no copy monster. Added the message to the page, don't hassle me if it has anything wrong with it, i don't edit on the wiki all that much. :/ --Andrew3 01:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Looks like it. I just got that message from an infernal seal. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:28, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Comparison to Spooky Putty

I just used it and copied a Burly Sidekick with one of these like the spooky putty sheet (through a multi)! I don't know if there is a limit.--Emperor Norton II 23:41, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Consistently with the putty, giant sandworms are also horrifying.--Jambosque 08:39, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

  • seriously. coolest. update. ever. now i can keep a copy of event monsters and cut down on the time needed lucring. i look forward to there being loads more of these so i can start a menagerie... --Evilkolbot 11:10, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
It's a quest-item, though, when it's used, so your only way to keep event monsters is to use the putty on them and have only 1 copy for the BHH, or never ascend. - Msanychta 12:26, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Nevermind. I just discovered you can't keep puttied monsters over ascension either. So yeah. - Msanychta 12:33, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

After reading that this doesn't work on newts, I'm curious to know whether anyone with spooky putty has tested the sheet on a CLEESHed monster.--Jambosque 22:46, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Queen Filthworm

Just tried copying the filthworm queen and got the horrifying message. Can't find any instance of it being listed on the spooky putty page. Anyone else try that before?--Zefy 15:54, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

  • queen is a boss, so no copying is implied. --Evilkolbot 17:06, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

queen isn't actually listed as a boss though --Zefy 09:52, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, someone needs to add her to the list here. Category:Bosses --Lemon-claw 10:39, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

this has been done today --Hrag 19:56, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
