Talk:A. W. O. L. commendation

From A KoL Wiki

I got an extra 6 A.W.O.L commendations on my first encounter with the skeletons today (the same number of commendations that I already had since yesterday). I then got my first "ordinary" commendations a few adventures later, so the extra ones seems not to have been related to the ordinary "500-skeletons-or-so" counter. --Sjabth 10:45, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Jick has reported that the extras are a glitch of some sort, to be fixed (and the extras destroyed) sometime tomorrow. --Shadowlynk 10:56, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
  • sigh* I hoped that it would be a nice added feature, doubling the AWOLs every turnover... :-/ --Sjabth 12:51, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Exchange more

The 'Exchange more' link appears even if you don't have any more commendations. Probably not worth a note on the front page, though. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 19:46, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

It's not mentioned, but if you purchase the A. W. O. L. tattoo has upgradable versions that cost 10, 25, and 50. The fourth is Upgraded A. W. O. L. Tattoo, but I don't have the names of the others.--Foggy 21:14, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

The A. W. O. L. Tattoo page has that. Not mentioned is that the tattoo is a action, not an item. (Like the Hobo Tattoo and not like the Alice's Army Foil tattoo.) --Club (#66669) (Talk) 00:03, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

"TPTMBG have stated that commendations will be usable (and thus tradable) even after the event is over." Uh, how will keeping them useable suddenly make them tradeable? --Zan 10:57, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

  • I don't see why they would be changed to tradable, either and heavily doubt Asymmetric would do that. It might be helpful if there was a link to the statement or reference to a particular radio-show... --Yatsufusa 12:14, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
    • I think the idea was that the commendations are usable and the stuff you get from them is tradable, but I'm not sure. --Johnny Treehugger 13:27, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
      • Maybe by "tradable" they meant "you can trade them in with the Quartermaster." --Turing 14:30, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
        • Ah, I'll buy that. I changed "tradable" to "spendable" which was likely what was meant. Jick's post is here if people are wondering. --Johnny Treehugger 16:16, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
