I've seen 4 monsters so far (probably 5), each a different element. If you damage and/or kill it with the same type of damage as it does (eg. do stench damage to the sewer truck) then it saves you a fractional amount of seconds.

There's a new quest in the left pane, initially: 

Help the hare win the race at I-911.
 Turns remaining: 30
 Est. Finish Time: 30:00.000

The time goes down as you kill opponents with the right element.

Seems to be approximately 10000 damage/second saved. 

30 = +0.005 secs
10+10+10 = +0.009 secs
135 = +0.011 secs
10+108+137 = +0.026 secs
127+102+130 = +0.033 secs

The monster's HP is shown as ??? in combat with Manuel - that isn't normal for scaling monsters, is it? Oh, now I just realized, you always get exactly 3 rounds against it. The goal is to do as much damage as you can in that time, I suppose. Once you get 30 fights done, it gives you a leaderboard with the best times. --Aelfinn (talk) 23:10, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

I doubt it's linear then - I don't have the exact stats on the times, but doing ~60-80k/fight was removing anywhere between .6 and .8 seconds. --Jaolen (talk) 00:53, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

  • 470562 stench damage: 1.680 seconds saved
  • 672594 hot damage: 2.451 seconds saved
  • 395497 cold damage: 1.524 seconds saved
  • 397895 spooky damage: 1.526 seconds saved
  • 595965 hot damage: 2.291 seconds saved
