Talk:April Shower
shards of double-ice
On my one account, I got 3 shards of double-ice and on my other account I got 4. --Lemon-claw 10:43, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
I got 3, 3 and 3. --Lotsofphil 21:14, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
The hot shower seems to restore 100% mana and teach a Crafting Recipe. The Recipe I learned was a giant diamond ring. a new recipe using ring setting + lump of diamond
Crasn
I'm not quite sure how to add the effect page (also don't know how to find an effect's ID #), but I took a lukewarm shower. Given the muscle and moxie gains of hot and cool, the results were as expected.
You set the dial to 'lukewarm' (well, it look warm from here!). The water's so tepid it's like being in a very damp sensory-deprivation chamber. Your mind expands as your fingers get pruny. Thaumodynamic You acquire an effect: Thaumodynamic (duration: 50 Adventures)
Description for effect: You've taken a shower that was the same temperature as the air around you, and realized that water is basically air with more wet in it, and air is just water spread out more. It kind of blew your mind open a little.
+5% to all Mysticality Gains
Hope this helps! --Jimfromtx 10:24, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Hot
You set the dial to 'No, seriously, this is way too hot.'
You gain 1,000 Mana Points.
The water seems to bubble as it hits your skin. Y'know, maybe that was a little too hot, after all. Still, yay bubbles!
- My Max MP was 2488 when buffed so it looks as though 1000mp may be the upper limit which would match the nuns...--Doucy 12:40, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- Both my characters were in aftercore - one permanently, at level 55, the other just for the week, at level 17. Both got a thousand mp. (Also, neither got a recipe. Which was kind of lame.)--Neminem 14:42, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- I also got 1000 MP on my secondary character, who had about 1018 buffed MP and I only had 14 MP at the time. No secret recipe earned... just theorizing, maybe you need it to cap on the MP to get a recipe?--Arashmin 17:17, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- That's been my experience, I've taken three hot showers, capped all 3 times, instead of 1k mp, and gotten a recipe both times. --Jimfromtx 11:24, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- How exactly do you get the recipe? I've been trying for over 9 days now, and have not gotten a recipe yet. I'm a SC in aftercore. I've been getting various amounts of MP each day (just enough to bring me to max). I have though gotten 1000 once. --Pazsox 09:24, 19 April 2011 (EST)

- Had 9 MP, max of 251, and it gave me 242. So like nuns, but only MP. Argus 20:40, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- Had 14 out of 3067 MP, got 1000. --Pineapple of Despair 09:24, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Amazing ideas
Can we start a list here please? so far we have the 'Mysterious Present' and thats all I know of.--Tombot 22:25, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- I started the Learned Recipes category to combine these and the other learned recipes, hopefully people find it useful. The other ones I've seen reference to on the forums are a huge diamond ring (one of the ring settings + lump of diamond) and a drink that's vodka + ice cubes, but I don't have enough info to start either of the pages. --Johnny Treehugger 00:47, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
I'd like to point out that you get the full amount of Mana, even when you're having an Amazing Idea under the shower. --Yatsufusa 15:46, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
The Amazing Ideas I've gained so far are in this order:
- giant diamond ring
- Russian Ice
- boxing-glove-in-a-box --Arck 13:10, 3 July 2011 (CEST)
Learning frequency: I have managed to learn all 11 recipes by taking 49 hot showers. --Pineapple of Despair 12:48, 11 July 2011 (CEST)
I do not think the order recently listed on the main page is correct... For one thing, Salsa de las Epocas was my second-last Amazing Idea and if I understand the explanation correctly, this should not be possible. --Pineapple of Despair 16:02, 12 July 2011 (CEST)
- No, it's entirely possible. The game starts with <giant diamond ring, Russian Ice, mysterious present> and rolls to see which one of the 3 you've learned. If you learn the Russian Ice idea, the next time the game rolls, it'll roll with the set <giant diamond ring, boxing-glove-in-a-box, mysterious present>, and keep on repeating. It's entirely possible to have a recipe stick inside the set up until the end.--Toffile 16:17, 12 July 2011 (CEST)

Duplicate recipes?
I just learned the recipe for the giant diamond ring. Again, because I already knew it. Isn't it supposed to pick one I don't know yet?
The only other recipe I know so far is the mysterious present.
