Formula for fights without the mannequin on: ( n³ - 3n² + 44n ) / 6 + [ max(n-3,0)² + max(n-3,0) + max(n-6,0)² + max(n-6,0) + max(n-9,0)² + max(n-9,0) + max(n-12,0)² + max(n-12,0) ]/2 . Arena stats

Article says "2 olives" (average) for goth kid in Ultimate Cage Match. My 22 lb. goth kid just lost twice to the 15-lb. goat in the arena.

Nate 'Alastair' Dreadstein struggles for 18 rounds, but is eventually knocked out.

I forgot how many rounds the first one was. Somewhere around 17-19 I think.

If the goth kid is average, then my "Fy" should be 1d5+22, or 23-27. The goat (3 olives) should have "Fh" = 1d5+18, or 19-23. If ties go to me (which is what the Ultimate Cage Match pages says), then I should never lose (worst case, 1 in 25, we both get 23 points and I win the tie). So the goth kid is not average in this event. Obviously not strong either. Can't be "unable to compete" because there was no message (and I wouldn't have lasted 18 rounds). Mathz on Bonus Fights

I think I found out how the bonus fight mechanic is calculated:

  • You get +3 points per combat.
  • If you have the mannequin equipped, then you gain an additional +1 point per combat.
  • Once you have 2*X^2 -2*X +20 points (where X is the number of fights you already gained today), you gain an extra fight, and your points are reset to 0.

So, with a Mannequin:

You can't have a partial combat, so this gets rounded up. So:

That last part about your points being reset to 0 is what's important, and what's been tripping me up every time I tried this before. So the fourth bonus fight requires a total of 20+20+24+32=96 points, but you can't get it in 96/3=32 non-Mannequin combats 'cause the remainders keep getting thrown away.

Anyway, now that I'm done having fun: does this need to be put in the page anywhere? It's complicated and mathzy, so it'd probably confuse people. The only time it should matter is if you spend some turns with the Mannequin and some without, and that's a niche case that shouldn't really matter. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 04:05, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
