Hot damage?
Is there any notation for marking that an attack does elemental damage? The Astronomer's critical does hot damage, but I'm not sure how to mark that, if there's any way at all. --Southwest 12:44, 1 October 2006 (CDT)

Star chart no longer a guaranteed drop?
I just didn't get a star chart from the astronomer. I am pickpocketing averyone, and i think i did him (if allowed), but i don't remember gettign one then. I definately didn't get one at the end of combat. My item drop rate is only around +50%. Much surprised was I. So I think this may have been changed. Can anyone else please verify this for me?Teffania

I did not Pick Pocket from him, and I did not get the Star Chart. It's definitely not a guaranteed drop. -- Asmodai Annalai

- I don't have proof to offer, but I can definitely coincide with them that it's -not- a guaranteed drop. Had +50% item drop [+20% from DB skill, and +30% from the one Bad Moon skill [Envy]. Attempted to pickpocket but failed. Killing the monster yielded nothing. --Val 23:03, 26 November 2007 (CST)
- As per the radio show on 2/4/08, there are actually two otherwise identical astronomers in the code, except that their drop rates are different. No idea how to represent this on the main page, but it explains the discrepancy. --VanDamien 21:29, 4 February 2008 (CST)

Encounter rates
I thought I remember seeing that the encounter rate for the Astronomer differs from the other star folk, as well as the irritating series of random encounters occuring more often at the airship. Is there a single place that data is stored? -- Asinine 08:16, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
