Talk:Ball-in-a-cup
In case anyone didn't notice, this can be "use"d from your inventory to gain substat points once per day.
Didn't track the messages, but I got 22 myst points. Free substats! --Denarius 22:31, 24 December 2007 (CST)
"You catch the ball in the cup. Then you catch the ball in the cup again. You use the stultifying boredom that ensues to contemplate the mystic underpinnings of the universe."
I gained 18 Mysticality from it.

Does having more than one allow you to get twice the bonus stat points? I doubt it, but its worth a check. *hopes it does work because that would greatly increase the value of the items*--CluckyB 22:38, 24 December 2007 (CST)
I just gained 30 Wizardliness as a level 35 Sauceror. --SketchySolid 14:43, 25 December 2007 (CST)
Atempt to use twice
You've pretty much exhausted the entertainment potential of that thing for today.--StyggSinne 22:53, 24 December 2007 (CST)
Reference
Ball-in-the cup is a reference to the Family Guy episode "The Fat Guy Strangler."
In Tales of Synphonia, the mage Genis uses a similar item.--Flyinglama 19:27, 25 December 2007 (CST)
No no no no no! Stop trying to read references into everything, guys! The only thing this is referencing is the old toy, and it really isn't referencing it since it IS it. I used to have one of these when I was a kid. It was too hard. I couldn't get the hang of it. --Sirjeffreyofvistledorf 23:12, 25 December 2007 (CST)
The Family Guy thing is accurate, as the description for the item is (if I remember correctly) just about a direct quote from the episode mentioned above. The 'Tales of Symphonia' thing is absolute nonsense, though. Lychosis 23:36, 25 December 2007 (CST)
The other items
Alright, so say I use this and gain the stats from it, if I use the jacks or hobby horse, will I get stats from that, or will it give the "You've pretty much exhausted the entertainment potential of that thing for today." message? --Keeko1642 08:11, 25 December 2007 (CST)
- Unless it's changed very recently, you can use all three. --Denarius 08:25, 25 December 2007 (CST)
- You can definately use any combination of those 3 items, but not more than once per day each. There is also no level limit on these items so you can use them early on for a boost. --Uzziah 14:22, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
