Talk:Bashing Slam Smash
Theory: This works by the same mechanism as the smacks. After running some tests, I'm seeing discrete values separated by 6; including the 20% bonus from the weapon, this means a tsfactor of 5. (Criticals, of which I am receiving an obscene number of, are in multiples of 12 - which is 5*2, plus 20% bonus.) Judging from the numbers I'm getting, I wager the tsfactor is 1.4 Here are my numbers: Monster: Fluffy bunny Base muscle: 283 Critical hits: 730-742-766-778-802-814-826-838-850-862-874-898-910-922-934 Noncrit hits: 598-604-616-622-628-634-640-646-652-664-670-676-682-688-694-700-706-712-718
Critical hit delta: 12 Noncritical hit delta: 6 Weapon power=200, so 10%-(20%+1)=20-41 base weapon damage, so 22 discrete values possible Range (Critical): 934-730=204; (value range) 204/12=17 Range (noncrit): 718-598=120; (value range) 120/6=20
The damage formula, cutting out irrelevant parts to this weapon, is (floor(Muscle × ltsadj) - Monster Defense + [(10% to 20% of Weapon Power + 0 to 1) × crit × tsfactor + Bonus Weapon Damage ) x wpnpctbonus Net result is (floor(283*ltsadj-1)+(20-41)*tsfactor)*1.2; plugging in the guessed values returns (283*1.4-1+100)*1.2 to (283*1.4-1+205)*1.2; or 594 to 720.
It's not exact, but it's close enough for further spadework.--Parse 23:34, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
I forgot that I had long since permed Claws of the Walrus. With the +4 weapon damage, that makes the formula match exactly. 598 to 718 minus 4 gives 594 to 714, and it's quite possible that I didn't get the maximum value. I'm going to call this fully spaded; if you disagree, provide evidence to the contrary. --Parse 15:29, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Miss chance
Does this have the same "never miss" mechanism as TS and LTS? --Billybobfred 04:08, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
TS does not have a "never miss" mechanism that I know of. It is doubtful that it has that property; in order to make use of it you must have sledgehammer on a disembodied hand and a 2-handed club equipped on your player. Regardless I will confirm on mother hellseals tomorrow. --SilentKnight 16:11, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
We already know that the Sledgehammer does count as a 2h club for LTS purposes. Of course, BSS might be different. --billybobfred 17:43, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
