Bad Moon

Rumor has it that there is a different way to acquire this during a Bad Moon run, since clovers are unavailable. Anyone? --Baltar 13:01, 20 July 2007 (CDT)

You're given one at the start of the run, instead of a clover. --InvalidUser 13:02, 20 July 2007 (CDT)

I was just using the Lemon Party slot to get some fruit during my Bad Moon run, and I got a Big Rock from one of the adventures. It only happened one time so far, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to happen, but it looks like you might be able to get a Big Rock without clover when in Bad Moon... --Trubye 08:05, 15 October 2007 (CDT) (Two times now...)

Uhhhh... yes. This is already known, has been for quite some time, and is in the main article.--Bob452 12:08, 15 October 2007 (CDT)

Oops. Need new eyes, apparently. --Trubye 07:22, 17 October 2007 (CDT)

Getting the rock in hardcore for a BM...

OK, since a Big Rock is only attainable normally using a 10-leaf clover...how exactly are you supposed to get a Bad Moon run? Or does using the clover at the slots not count, or is there another way to get the rock in Hardcore that does not involve a clover?

I'm about go into my first hardcore run tonight and am curious.

No, and no. You don't get to make an epic weapon in your BM lead-in run. --TechSmurf 19:07, 25 July 2007 (CDT)

I hope there is some way to get a big rock on lead in, because its required to unlock the fun house, for boxes. No boxes, no []in-boxes --Co678 01:09, 5 August 2007 (CDT)

That was Jick's point in making it a requirement to open a bad moon run, it is supposed to make the run before harder as well. --Chunky_boo 14:12, 5 August 2007 (CDT)

1 Time Only

I just tried to get a second rock from the slots (to make a stone banjo rather than farming for the guitarrr I did not manage to get) and I did not receive the rock, only a normal slots adventure. My clover was not consumed. Is it possible that only 1 rock can be gained per run?--Reapaninja 19:08, 27 May 2008 (CDT)

  • You can get as many as you want. Is your clover disassembled? Won't work if it is. --Flargen 19:32, 27 May 2008 (CDT)
    • Nope, it wasn't. And the mafia relay gave me the "are you sure" screen before too. I checked after, and I had an intact clover, fully assembled.--Reapaninja 17:59, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
      • Mafia is probably your problem. If you're using Mafia, and you have a problem, there's about a 99% chance that Mafia is the source of it. Same with greasemonkey scripts. In any case, I have 3 EW's this run alone (and have about that many every run), so it's definitely on your end. --Flargen 18:24, 28 May 2008 (CDT)

Revision 326311

  • i'm starting out on a bad moon lead-in, and before i start burning turns in the lemon party to get me a big rock, has this edit's veracity been authenticated? not that i'm a cynical old sod, but a one edit account would seem to be an unreliable source. well, not just anyway.
    • ps. is there a way to link to a revision that doesn't use the external syntax? --Evilkolbot 07:54, 7 September 2008 (CDT)
      • All the documentation on WP I could find use the actual URL to link diffs and old revisions, so probably not. As to the accuracy of the edit, I had my doubts when I saw it going up, so I was going to spend 1-2 hundred adventures verifying it after completing a dungeon run. If someone else could do it and save me the turns I wouldn't object. --Bagatelle 09:46, 7 September 2008 (CDT)
    • spent 250 turns and got six lots of three lemons and one three cherries but no big rocks. --Evilkolbot 11:09, 7 September 2008 (CDT)
    • To add further data I spent about 30 turns in my current hardcore ascension just now. No rock. --Melon 11:16, 7 September 2008 (CDT)
