Talk:Blob-shaped Crimbo cookie

From A KoL Wiki

I got 9 adventures and 10 turns of "Amorphous Cheer" (description of the effect: You're in a really good mood, but you're not entirely sure why.) Redwulf25 ci 05:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

The effect does not appear to add a skill or effect the way the Spirit of Crimbo works, nor does it let you open Uncle Crimbo's fallout shelter . . . Redwulf25 ci 05:40, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Looks like we will see lots of edits saying that the use of the word "amorphous" is a reference to a game by that name. I find this highly unlikely, can anyone demonstrate otherwise? Eran of Arcadia 21:48, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

  1. unless jick said specifically that killing blobs with a big knife made him happy it's just coincidence.
  2. the edits are suspiciously similar. sock puppets? --Evilkolbot 22:52, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Some uses for alternate accounts are explicitly forbidden: using an
alternative account to avoid scrutiny, misleading others by making
disruptive edits with one account and normal ones with another, distorting
consensus or artificially stirring up controversy, or otherwise
circumventing Wikipedia policies. Misuse of an alternative account may
result in being blocked from editing.
    • seems clear to me. --Evilkolbot 23:01, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
    • I was the one who first added the Amorphous reference, because the name of the item has the word "blob" in it, and the effect is called Amorphous Cheer.--Rayaquaza

And another attempt to reference it to amorphous the game. always nice when people look at history or that note evilkolbot threw in before they edit. Also, sign your posts next time.--Alabit 23:20, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

This item reminds me of making Christmas cookies, particularly ones made using a cookie cutter or cookie press, where the leftover dough is often made into one or more "blob cookies". Doesn't really count as a reference, though it's probably something most people are familiar with. --Quietust (t|c) 21:21, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
