Sandworm Functionality

Is it known whether the sandworm summon can be used to advance the MacGuffin quest? --Pastangum 02:38, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

• An interesting question, but it kind of doesn't matter either way, from an ascension standpoint because 1). The desert questgiver requires you to have a drum machine in inventory earlier in the quest chain anyway, and 2). The boba fettucini comes from the desert, and it takes 10 days to level it up to level 10. Since the quest event normally triggers upon using a drum machine and not in an actual sandworm fight, they would have had to specifically code this easter egg, if it exists. Still, if anyone wants to check, I'd be interested to hear the results. --Prestige 02:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Actually it'd be easy code-wise... upon entering combat with the sandworm: IF (weapon == worm-riding hooks) THEN (unlock pyramid;remove worm-riding hooks;end fight) ELSE (normal fight script). I believe the Sorceress' "actual true form" uses a similar mechanic. Still, until someone tries, it's moot as you say. --Pastangum 22:06, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
