Talk:Bonus Weapon Damage
Can someone please add Frosty's Arm. I dont believe it is on the table. I would change it but I dont want to mess up the table.--Sinaris 20:21, 20 July 2008 (CDT)
Somebody add the brimstone bludgeon. It's +30 melee, +50% mus, and -20% mys. It's the BM SC ascension reward. I would, but i'm not too sure about the table.--DaemonStryker 02:17, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
Corroded weapon is at least -4 damage, probably -10. I quite distinctly remember doing negative 3 damage to spam witches, when normally I did roughly 6 damage - one more reason saucerors shouldn't fool around with a crossbow. More testing is needed, of course. --Temporary Man
Since +elemental damage is now seperate from +melee damage, shouldn't this chart be revised and/or split into multiple charts? For instance, the flaming talons only have +5 melee damage. They also have +5 Fire damage, but that might be weakened against some monsters. More importantly, it doesn't get multiplied by lunging thrust smack. Maybe have a "Bonus Fire Damage" chart, etc.?--Brew Slee 18:22, 10 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)
I agree. I think items that add elemental damage should be given their own page, even. Pure melee damage and elemental damage are governed by different rules. -GG Crono 22:00, 15 August 2006 (CDT)
I also agree with this. In my mind, melee and elemental are seperate types of damages. And with all the new NS13 stuff, splitting them would make things easier to find. -glebs 21:55, 10 July 2007 (EST)
Elemental listed?
With regards to the steaming evil (which needs to be udpated or removed) - should all elemental damage providers be added? The steaming evil is no diffrent than a magical ice cube for bonus damage. Additionaly, the ice sickle (for example) does additional cold damage and if steaming evil and magical ice cube are listed, then it should be too. Personaly I don't believe either should be because they are not adding to melee damage that can be multipled by LTS setups. --Shagie 20:54, 10 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)
Reorganization
Should this be broken into tables based on the source of the bonus? I think that would be more useful for tweaking your setup. It would make it easier to find (for example) the best bonus you can get from your hat slot if all the hats were in one table instead of being scattered throughout the weapons and temporary effects and everything else.--RyokoYahagi 10:38, 18 April 2006 (CDT)
What about stuff like the Cerebral Crossbow? Shouldn't those be moved to Bouns Ranged Damage?--Sednanalien 03:29, 8 September 2006 (CDT)
Elemental Removed
There gon because they are diferent. Melee is for LTS and the weaker version. Please don't put it back anyone. User:Xxlee1019
- I'm going to reinstate the elemental information. Yes we probably need to do something with this, but "goning" them is not the answer. --Gymnosophist 11:30, 16 September 2006 (CDT)
There are links on each element page, thats enough for now. I won't be a dickhead and just re-remove the part of the chart but it does need to be removed completely. We all know it has no reason to be there. Where else on this wiki is there a chart with items that don't fit chart requirements?(sorry about the wordiness.) How about we just put a chart o neach element page. Sadly I don't know how to make them in wiki. Can I make a HTML table here? User:Xxlee1019
- The elemental damage information actually has a valid reason for being there - not everyone uses the table from the narrow perspective of the LTS strategy. There are plenty of people who use the table and say "Hey - flaming talons - 10 damage - perfect!". Because everything is sorted by melee damage only, the LTS people can simply ignore the Bonus Elemental Damage information. Yes you can make a chart (HTML or Wiki) on the Elemental pages, but it will need to coexist well with the existing Damage section. In fact such a table might well replace most of the sub sections in the Damage section. However, I'd definately try it out on the element talk page first. Finally, I'm considering making separate game mechanics pages for each element, but the project isn't near the top of my to-do list, especially since there is a rumored pending overhaul of melee/ranged damage. --Gymnosophist 21:55, 17 September 2006 (CDT)
Hobo Power stuff
I added the Hobo Power items, which will give +Melee damage if Hodgman's varcolac paw is also equipped and none otherwise, to the "Variable" section. They may need to be moved. --Demarken 13:00, 19 June 2008 (CDT)
Switch from "Bonus Melee Damage" to "Bonus Weapon Damage"
Most if not all "Melee Damage + X" has apparently been change to "Weapon Damage + X" in game (reflecting the fact that it affects ranged damage too). Is there an easy way to change all items that currently say "Melee Damage +" or does it have to be done by hand? Also, renaming this page will conflict with--or at least be ambiguous with--the Weapon Damage page that already exists. --Qwertys 07:32, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
