Talk:Brushfires
From A KoL Wiki
The fires do not follow traditional resistances and weaknesses. They're only susceptible to cold. As one might expect from fire. Mr. Blonde 06:07, 14 June 2012 (CEST)
- It is claimed that they actually are weak to stench and sleaze, doubling such damage to 2 instead of 1. I haven't tested this myself. Notsupposedtobehere 10:36, 14 June 2012 (CEST)
- It's true, I've tested it. It's totally irrelevant, since you can't kill it and only cold damage contributes to how many commendations you get, but it is true. --Johnny Treehugger 16:17, 14 June 2012 (CEST)
I believe they might have a soft damage cap. Someone verify. --Mrfred 21:31, 14 June 2012 (CEST)
- Yes, that's on Brushfire, the monster page - cold damage after 5000 is reduced to x^.7 . --Johnny Treehugger 21:49, 14 June 2012 (CEST)
Changes
- This is pretty clearly a world event since there's a custom leaderboard tracking it. I split off the brushfires spreading through the main page of the plains, since the fires are already conflicting with places there (e.g. the gateway to Dis). There's been at least 3 stages of spread so far and it would be far easier tracking it on this page.--Toffile 03:18, 15 June 2012 (CEST)
- The giant discarded plastic fork from the level 10 quest replaces the leftmost section of the brushfires if you reach that level and visit the council, not sure if there are any other locations or similar that take precedence over the fires --Muttonfingers 17:13, 18 June 2012 (CEST)
Event vs. location
When there were only brushfires, it made sense to use this as a replacement for the event-specific incarnation of The Nearby Plains. However, now there's another sub-zone (Super-Intense Mega-Grassfire). This makes me wonder if there needs to be an "event" page that includes both locations. --Itsatrap 09:32, 17 June 2012 (CEST)
