  • I believe trophy image names are usually unrelated to their associated trophies. This is to help prevent people from determining if their guess at what will yield a trophy is correct or not by them simply trying out all the "sensible" image names they think might go with the hypothetical trophy. --Flargen 03:43, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Just counting the number of recipes found on the Wiki, is it just me or do you NEED to have a Tiny Plastic Sword to accomplish this task? Unless you have good borrowing connections, that means you HAVE to drop (as of 9/27/08) about 19mil meat to get this trophy! Only other way I see is if you have access to McPhee's, or someone who can summon you a Magical Ice Cube With A Fly In It, and even then there's been no confirmation that those drinks count towards the trophy. --Brightbutt The Defenestrator 22:16, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

    • Oh, incidentally, I believe he was actually sitting at 98. He's now at 99 with a gloomy wine made. So he needs to make a green beer to get this without a tps or fly cubes. --Flargen 20:36, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

    • Yes, it's impossible to get without what you said. However, none of it NEEDS an IOTM, just rare and sometimes expensive items. But everything can be bought in the mall except the Magical Ice Cube With A Fly In It, and those aren't hard to get. Hell, I am in a small clan, and there were 30 of them sitting in our clan stash. Or you can go into chat and ask for them as gifts or trade. This trophy is a pain in the ass, but isn't that half the fun of trophies? --Brightbutt The Defenestrator 21:40, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
      • For the record, I managed to make 97 drinks without owning a TPS (6 drinks), without access to magical ice cubes with flies in them (8 drinks), without a St. Sneaky Pete's Day (2 drinks), and without oily or gloomy mushrooms (2 drinks). I DID, however, buy brine in the mall for about 45k and bananas for about 14k each. But since brine only helps craft one drink (the especially salty dog), and the banana only crafts two drinks (banana daiquiri and bungle in the jungle), it's entirely possible to get this trophy without them if you have/can borrow a TPS or have access to hilarious items. Conversely, you don't NEED a TPS OR hilarious items if you're willing to spend about 40-50k meat in the mall. Basically, there are about 115 drinks in the game, and only 17 of them are "rare" in some way, so any given player only really needs to find ways to make two "rare" drinks (the easiest being the banana drinks, at least until banana prices in the mall start getting really expensive, and the cheapest probably being finding someone willing to give/sell you two fly cubes). But it's always possible more drink recipes may be added in the future, which would remove even that necessity. Considering the time/effort/cost it takes to get some of the other trophies (like having to spend nearly 10 million meat to get 99 Red Balloons), I don't see a problem with the trophy more or less forcing you to spend 40-50k in the mall to earn it. Green beer counts twice if you do it with willer and with Sir Schiltz. So does rum and cola and whiskey and cola with dyspepsi and cloaca. I dunno if you guys counted those, but that's a couple free recipes if you hadn't. Maybe that lets us save money by not buying brine for the especially salty dog, I don't know, I haven't counted yet.--Pepeson 22:12, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

  • While I'm looking through this talk again, going by my multi's progress, you can avoid the brine by making both green beers. It doesn't look like you can avoid the bungle in the jungle right now, though. That will require them to add more cocktailcrafting recipes. There's hope of at least one more eventually in the form of bottle of Pete's Sake currently having no known recipes associated to it, but being marked as an ingredient. One new recipe gets you down to just needing to make a banana daiquiri (but you might as well go for the bungle at that point); you'd need 2 more to avoid both the brine and the banana. --Flargen 20:47, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

TPS Rental?

The note about the possibility of renting a TPS is pretty unhelpful. Could someone add how one would go about finding a TPS for rent? --ElroyJetson 19:43, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

  • I agree it's rather quite unnecessary. Otherwise, go into chat channels and ask if anyone will loan you one to help you get the trophy. They will most likely require collateral. If you're lucky, maybe a friend or clanmate has one and won't require much or any collateral. --Flargen 20:34, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
