Talk:Cerebral Crossbow
Actually, smaller crossbows can be shot with one hand. I owned a 30lb-force crossbow that I regularly shot with one hand. Of course, it is more accurate with two...
Above was Homunculus. More discussion on the possible Keanu Reeves connection to the phrase "whoa" is on the page Talk:A Journey to the Center of Your Mind. --LucySpace 04:56, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
I was going to ask if that you had the Double-Fisted Skull Smashing skill and the Crossbow Fever skill, would the fever skill apply to both the crossbows you are holding? Of course it's one handed, it's made of pan-dimensional stuff. Weee, you could go around shooting things with two times the destruction! --Choja 05:11, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
So, is there a cerebral outfit if you have all three cerebral equipments? Maybe we should investigate... Psychade 22:26, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
- All we'd need to do to investigate would be to see whether an outfit is mentioned on the description of any of the three items. I doubt it, though, or someone would have noticed it and mentioned it here by now. -- Old Ned 22:29, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
- There is no Cerebral Costume yet, though Jick and the crew supposedly said they'd implement it before Halloween. --Quietust 22:33, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
- Wouldn't a set be impossible due to the fact that we need to donate or have loads of money to get the set? Sorry, just remembering about the "We can't only give the people who donate this feature and not to other people who don't" thing. (Who's going to be the first to yell at me? :D)--Choja 22:55, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
- You don't need to donate to get the costume. You don't even need loads of money - astral mushroom prices are dropping rapidly (below 40K today, probably even lower tomorrow), and each trip appears to guarantee one visit to the Violet Fog which, if you can manage to navigate it, is guaranteed to give you at least one piece of the set. --Quietust 22:57, 3 June 2006 (CDT)

- So where is this obtained from? --Jedibob5 12:14, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Different message for bonus damage?
On my multi, with this equppied, (and several other +elemental damage items) I got this message:
You shoot it in the shoulder, dealing 40 (+4) (+3) (+5) (+3) (+3) damage. Man, that's gotta hurt. POW! BOOF! KERBLAM! SPLAT! WHAMMO! ZAP! BARF!
Does anybody know if the "Man, that's gotta hurt" message appears without the bonus elemental damage items? Please Respond.
It appears all the time. See crossbows. --Munkel00:23, 3 April 2007 (CDT)
Tarantino References in Combat Messages
Speaking of combat messages for this item- Not knowing what good formatting is, I wanted to mention here:
Two of the combat messages for this item reference Quentin Tarantino movies: "Oh, no! You shot Marvin in the face! Provided that this monster's name is Marvin" is adapted from a Pulp Ficton qutpe and "Harvey Keitel wanders by, and says 'Along with the kneecap, the gut is a most painful area a guy can get shot in.' Your opponent nods in agreement." is a reference to a scene in Reservoir Dogs. PassionFever 01:22, 10 October 2006 (CDT)
Those arn't for this weapon in specific, but for crossbows in general. On that page, the references are listed --Munkel00:23, 3 April 2007 (CDT)
