Talk:Clear and Present Danger

From A KoL Wiki

I don't know a lot about editing wiki pages but whoever does please add this to the Uncle Hobo page.

Big Time SPOILERS!

You win the fight!

Uncle Hobo says, "Hold on, kid. I need a breather," and collapses onto a cardboard box. "So, you think you beat me, huh?" he says, glaring at you with his bloodshot eyes. "You ain't just fightin' some ornery hobo, kid. You're fighting the magic. I'm sure we'll meet again soon." And laying a finger aside of his nose, he -- well, he shoots a snot rocket straight at your face.

You spin away to dodge the incoming mucus missile, and when you look back, Uncle Crimbo has vanished, leaving behind only the faint aroma of body odor and peppermint. Oh, and some stuff: Corky's hops around, dancing a jig accompanied by wet squelching noises.

So, how much do you have to spend at the gift shop to beat Uncle Hobo with a gift-a-pult equipped? I just burned over 200k to no avail. What a waste! ... - AvangionQ / December 4th, 2010.

SPOILERS

You need to use a designer handbag to defeat him.

Ransacked

For the record, after the 25th the Uncle Hobo combat was replaced by a non-combat under "Fight!" which gave the same loot as you'd normally get in combat (including chances at non-outfits, cigars, etc.) but went right to the player to click rather than to be distributed. We also tried doing it like I Refuse! with people at the choice adventure clicking after but it gave the "already ransacked" message. --Lordebon 06:16, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

  • the text I got was:

"You burst into the house, itching for a fight, but you don't find one. Looks like Uncle Hobo's off taking care of some other business. This makes you sad, but what makes you happier is the fact that he left some goodies behind! You acquire an item: Uncle Hobo's stocking cap You acquire an item: chocolate cigar You acquire an item: Uncle Hobo's highest bough You acquire an item: Uncle Crimbo's Rations" And since I was unaware of the change to this adventure and was planning on assigning the loot to someone else, I'm less pleased than one might expect.--Noskilz 19:35, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

  • It seems many players share your problem. Next time you should add such important articles to our watchlist, so you can keep track of ongoing changes. --Yatsufusa 05:12, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
