Talk:Clothing of Loathing
"This outfit has an additional effect even if you are not wearing all distinct outfit pieces: for n = number of distinct pieces worn, the effect appears to be (2n)% +item, (2n)% +meat, and +(2n)% to all stats. All effects will apply even when only using one piece of the outfit." - from the page as it stands right now
This is a Brimstone-equivalent outfit? --Lxndr (talk) 16:39, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Brimstone also gives ML after the first piece, and has 6 pieces instead of 7. Otherwise, yes, that's what it sounds like. --Flargen (talk) 01:08, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- That isn't the formula for Brimstone.--Toffile (talk) 01:57, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
-Does this mean it doesn't matter if you equip the outfit, or use another Stick-Knife of Loathing in place of the Scepter? Is the bonus the same in both cases? Pikachaos (talk) 15:42, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
- I'd bet that using another stick-knife will not give the full bonus.--Cannonfire40 (talk) 18:21, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
The math on this is off. +2^(n-1)% item drops for a full set would be 2^5, or +32%, but the page claims it's +64%. +2^6% for the other stats would by +64%, not +128%. Is the formula wrong, or is the buff? --KingStarscream (talk) 16:21, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- The full outfit has 7 pieces, not 6. --Aventuristo (talk) 19:36, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
Flashing Images
"Outfit is a static image, pieces are already noted". Really? Where? I swear up and down this was never mentioned on any of the pages, which is why I noted it. Just so everyone knows what I'm talking about, the images for the outfit pieces are animated in such a way that they blink white every few minutes and I can't figure out why.--Tombot (talk) 22:51, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hmm, I thought it was. In any case, it doesn't really need to be noted. It's quite trivial. — Cool12309 (talk) 23:57, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- Unless this has only recently started happening, this can't be a new discovery. Did anyone make a forum thread discussing this?--Tombot (talk) 02:53, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- It's been happening since a few days after cannon found them all. If you could see deletion logs we even had the old static images. — Cool12309 (talk) 03:13, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think this should be brushed off as "quite trivial". We note minor typos being fixed (e.g. Crimbo ukulele), why not curious changes to item images? --Vorzer (talk) 10:39, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
