I seem to be taking icicle damage less as I do more damage. With my Baio, I was doing 1000+ damage a hit, and never got icicled. Without, I was doing around 850 damage, and only got icicled rarely. Without ben-gal balm, I'm doing around 750, and it SEEMS I'm getting hit more often.
Also, it seems there's another possible after-damage message. Something about a snowfall loosening on top of a house and crushing you. I think I saw it once. Verify plz? --MrAndersonMan 08:20, 12 July 2008 (CDT)
There's currently a forum post discussing these. http://forums.kingdomofloathing.com:8080/vb/showthread.php?t=155505 I've also heard this before, that hitting a cold hobo lightly causes no crying out to take place. One post claims that 50 is the rough cap, with 48 triggering once. If the damage was some percentage of their max hps, then level variation could explain why the cap fluctuates. Something to test. - The same thing happened to me. When I started, I never got icicles. After yodeling a little (2 times) and diverting water to the PLD I still didn't get any icicles. However, after yodeling a lot (i got the "never yodel again" message as well) I started to get icicles falling on me.--Grumble guy 01:10, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

-Is this still right? I was taking ~200dmg in an outfit with resistances, switched to my rollover (watches+tinyplastic+timeoutfit) and it was hitting me for 10? I will have to investigate furthor.--Plater (t|c) 13:29, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
