Talk:Combat Tree

From A KoL Wiki

So.... this page is not very wiki-formatted, and I'm sure I have no idea how to make it so. With that said, I think others may find it has useful information, but if its divergence from the Accepted Standards is deemed to horribly transgressive I'll understand if it's reverted away. --DirkDiggler 02:24, 8 November 2006 (CST)

  • Hopefully, what's there can used as framework for a decent explaination of combat mechanics.--Dehstil (t|c) 22:25, 8 November 2006 (CST)

current version

Basically, I pretty much tossed out the previous version and started from scratch with a couple of viewpoints in mind:

  • The Combat Tree should explain the sequence of events that occur, especially potentially confusing sequences. (For example, making sure players know they can lose combat from passive monster damage even if they defeat the opponent).
  • The Combat Tree should not include a list of every skill or formula in the game (that's what Weapon Damage is for)

And that's pretty much it. I'm open to suggestions for things that may be missing or inaccurate.--Foggy 15:05, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Limit of 30 rounds

I think it should be reflected somewhere in the wiki, that normal combats can only last a maximum of 30 rounds. I constantly forget how many rounds is the limit and I never know where to look it up. Would this be the right place for that remark? --Yatsufusa (talk) 20:25, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
