Talk:Combat action bars

From A KoL Wiki

Hmmm.

  • this page doesn't look like the rest of the wiki. its use of screen shots is the only place they are used. also, its jokey tone and simplistic phrasing aren't consistent with the rest of the writing. and, well, i don't like it. --Evilkolbot 01:43, 8 July 2008 (CDT)
    • The writing style could probably be attributed to the fact that it's exactly what Xenophobe wrote on the forums. ;) --TechSmurf 01:57, 8 July 2008 (CDT)
      • so that's it. if it's hosted on the forums, why is it reproduced here? wouldn't a link be sufficient? --Evilkolbot 14:42, 8 July 2008 (CDT)
        • Maybe it needs a wiki rewrite, and a link back to the forums? I can see why it should be in the wiki, but I don't use it and can't really write about it. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 15:13, 8 July 2008 (CDT)

No Errors in Opera

Under Known Technical Issues it says "Opera does not handle the action bar script very well, on account of its iron-fisted control over its event handlers." That's completely not true in my experience. I, for one, have never had a bit of trouble with the CAB in Opera. Even when it first rolled out and IE and Firefox users on the forum complained of issues, it was error-free in Opera.

The only reason I haven't simply removed that sentence is that I only have my own experiences to go on since my wife prefers the old combat form. I'd like to hear from other Opera users to know if problems are commonplace or if my experience is the norm. Is my best bet to post on the game's forum? --Kitsunegami 08:38, 7 September 2011 (CEST)

Apparently I wasn't the only person who felt that way since that line no longer exists. Thanks, whoever removed it. --Kitsunegami 04:48, 21 August 2012 (CEST)
Someone else randomly put that line back so I re-removed it.--Kitsunegami 04:55, 19 November 2012 (CET)
I inadvertently tagged it as a minor fix out of habit since I generally only make non-minor fixes a couple of times a year. Sorry about that. --Kitsunegami 04:57, 19 November 2012 (CET)
