Talk:Count Drunkula (Hard Mode)

From A KoL Wiki

So here's some numbers for you. Drunkenness drained (DD)vs. HP drained. Started at 1139 Drunk, leftover is marked LO

  • HP: 12 DD:113 LO:1026
  • HP:125 DD:102 LO: 924
  • HP:223 DD: 92 LO: 832
  • HP:321 DD: 83 LO: 749
  • HP:395 DD: 74 LO: 675
  • HP:475 DD: 67 LO: 608

Think we can use these to figure out the formula? And does this seem to work similar to DA?--Fluxxdog (talk) 14:13, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

4-kiss Hard vampire. Started at 616 drunkenness. He drained: 80, 69, 60, 52 drunkenness. He does not drain drunkenness with his first hit if he gets the jump; only in rounds where you get to act. He drains drunkenness in the round where you kill him. --Greycat (talk) 20:53, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

So in the first set of data, drunkenness drained is clearly floor (0.1 * drunkenness), though I'm not sure what the kiss level was in this example. HP drained may possibly be something like total amount of drunkenness drained in previous rounds ± a minimum of 14 (with HP drain applying before drunkenness drain) at that kiss level based on the data, though that is speculation.

For the 4-kiss vampire, the following is the data laid out similar to the first table (without HP of course): Initial drunkenness: 616

  • DD: 80 LO: 536
  • DD: 69 LO: 467
  • DD: 60 LO: 407
  • DD: 52 LO: 355

This fits in with a formula of DD = floor (0.13 * drunkenness). It would be good to see others post any data they have on this. --Icy elemental (talk) 02:45, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Damage cap formula

At kiss level 5 I did max 600 damage per source. That doesn't seem to comply with the formula for the normal Count Drunkula as it stands. Bsander (talk) 16:14, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

4 kiss castle also yielded a 600 damage cap (started the fight at ~400 drunk, awesome balls of fire for 11 rounds hit for 600 every time, ended the combat at 123 drunk). This also means he had ~18000 hit points--Tobias (talk) 21:42, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

1 kiss castle also gave a 600 damage cap so updating article. Yvain (talk) 15:22, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

2 kiss castle also had a cap of 600. Yvain (talk) 00:07, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm working out his HP by looking at Manuel's given value at the start of the fight. Does he gain HP from draining your drunkenness? JLE (talk) 14:20, 02 September 2013 (UTC)

He gains HP from draining YOUR hp. How much hp he drains increases each round, while how much absolut drunk he drains decreases (drunk drain is probably a flat % each round, but hp is still being spaded). This is NOT a one-to-one ratio of drunk-to-hp.--Hastifer (talk) 13:10, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Attack values in Notes are misleading, hp drain, spectral, and you

I have a 4 kiss hm drunkula that is hitting me with his regular attacks with my moxie at 6962. This is separate from his drain. I can debuff him and he still hits at the same damage. I suspect his attack increases by some amount related to how much drunkenness he drains. Or something. But it's not as low as 1600 I assure you (or he has a great crit%), and he doesn't have autohit, since I've seen him miss.

Also. His HP drain bypasses things like spectral. A lot of your passives bypass spectral too (Skeletal buff attacks, florist plants, etc). Just not Frigidalmatian. Dammit.

Also also, his drain does a % of your HP, adjusted by drunkenness. This is not a set amount. It is a %. --Hastifer (talk) 21:04, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

My second attempt was at over 7,000 drunk, and 15,000 hp. By round 6 he was draining over 2,400 hp (which was more damage than I could dish per round).

A subsequent attempt, at 3,000 drunk, and 553 hp, he drained 24 hp the first round, and progressed upward, until he was draining 384 hp by round 3. He was also hitting me with regular attacks, even with 6962 moxie, for 119 damage.

My final attempt, I went to 650 drunk, 1233 hp, and some DR (about 50 DR). Round 1, he drained 42 hp, and hit me for 92. I didn't keep track of the draining after that, but it didn't scale as quickly as the subsequent attempt (i.e. it never got to 69.4%). I had to full heal on the 5th round (funk sling scented massage oil, and a love song for at least some damage), and beat him on the 8th round. I was doing over 2,500 damage per round, except the 5th (volcanometeor, frigidalmatian, biologically shocked, and a plethora of other passive damage).

He WILL drain hp and drunkenness if you use a free runaway (in a way this helped me to get to the proper balance of hp and drunkennes). Oddly, all your passives except frigidalmatian will also hit on the free runaway round (but he won't die). The runaway text comes before all the passives and his drain kick in.--Hastifer (talk) 12:55, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Even though he drains hp on the runaway round, you won't lose the fight if you are reduced to 0 hp. You will still get beaten up though.--Hastifer (talk) 12:57, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

I feel like all the hard mode bosses have a better chance of hitting you the higher the kiss level is. I fought Great Wolf, Mayor Ghost and Count Drunkula at 6 kisses recently and all 3 never missed an attack on me. I've killed Great Wolf many times at lower kisses and never had a problem with his regular attack.

I unfortunately can't give much on the drunkula fight. I went in with a little over 1300 drunk and over 20k HP and killed him easily with just snowclone, frigidalmation and rain-doh green lantern. The last drain I remember seeing was ~600, I won the fight with over 17k HP left. My moxie was over 8k and his first hit on me did ~100 damage by the way. --Andrew3 (talk) 21:38, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

The draining does seem to scale to HP, but he only drains about 15% drunk per round at 6 kisses, so you shouldn't need more than a whole lot of drunkenness to kill him quickly. 1200 seems to be enough to still hit the damage cap in round 5. With frigidalmatian, volcanometeor, and green lantern, even a max-kiss one will go down in 4-5 rounds. He was only draining about 500 HP when I killed him; I had about 10k hp. --Guyy (talk) 08:50, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
