Just confirmed with olfaction that this is really just one monster... olfacted one that dropped vodka, only got 7/20 vodka drops after that. And unsurprisingly, using a He-Bo doesn't force all the drops, so I guess it's just a conditional. --Starwed 10:11, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

The bugbear message I got was "Error: Parse error in oppocrit.php line 45 >%familiarname>", which implies there is no hidden crit or fumble text. On using spooky putty against the crate, it retaliated by continuing to sit motionless. So no regular attacks either, for any doubters. --Starwed 06:05, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

The special nature of the drops should be mentioned -- they're not a standard drop, or even a standard conditional drop, but some special thing run post-combat. It doesn't have to call out dropping from the boots, but it should provide enough information for you to realize it is possible. Conditions on drops?

I needed a lemon, so I decided to go to the noob cave for what I thought would be a 1/3 chance of getting one. At the start of adventuring I had in my inventory: 0 lemons, 2 oranges, 0 vodka, 0 popsicle sticks. I got: vodka, sticks, vodka, vodka, vodka, sticks, sticks. If the chances of getting any drop was purely 1 in 3, then the chance of going 7 adventures without fruit is 5.8%, which is low enough it made me suspicious. I autosold my 2 oranges, then got fruit from the next crate I fought. This could just be rng, but it makes me suspect that the drops take account of what you currently have in your inventory. --Darkcodelagsniper (talk) 17:34, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

• i think i'm misunderstanding. i'm getting three substats from this mob and not just one. if "1 substat" means three that's just silly. can we have a note to explain that? or can i update this page to say 3? --Evilkolbot (talk)
