Talk:Crimbo Town Toy Factory (2009)
Here are some stat gains to help calculate where the cap is at. Moxie: 62583 (16469)
You're fighting a provocateur elf You gain 638 Muscleboundness. You gain 598 Wizardliness. You gain 1264 Chutzpah.
You're fighting a saboteur elf You gain 601 Muscleboundness. You gain 642 Magicalness. You gain 1257 Chutzpah.
You're fighting an auteur elf You gain 623 Beefiness. You gain 611 Magicalness. You gain 1266 Cheek.
You're fighting a raconteur elf You gain 636 Strengthliness. You gain 595 Enchantedness. You gain 1269 Chutzpah.
You're fighting an amateur elf You gain 647 Fortitude. You gain 607 Enchantedness. You gain 1246 Cheek.
That's with moxie buffed way beyond the cap so we know they're all capped the same. That is using a non-stat familiar. A stat familiar does increase stat gains a little bit but not very much. --Zaranthos 23:33, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Has anyone spaded the ML cap, if any?--Maddsurgeon 18:27, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Anyone tried to find a way to farm buttons - what happens if you run away from the wrench elf - does he show up 49 turns later, or are you stuck dealing with him until he's defeated (sadly, such ideas only occurred to me after defeating him and learning the factory was closed to me afterwards.)--Noskilz 21:28, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- So far as I can tell, running away from combat with a non-wrench wench elf still increments the counter. Running from the wrench wench causes the encounter to occur again immediately, so there's no avoiding her. --Itsatrap 21:30, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- also poppering away from the wrench elf would still cause her to appear the next turn additionally she could be putty sheet'd and 4-d camera'd to get the wrench handle multible times (this may be fixed for future bosses please confirm)--ammy55 05:11, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
There are no semi-rare or clover adventures. --ODST 22:05, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Eau de Tortue with turtling rod equipped and Syncopated Turtle yielded no turtle taming adventure. I suppose that's standard for Crimbo... --Clovis Sangrail 14:56, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
References
"This location is a reference to the French Resistance, a group of undercover French fighters that opposed the Nazis."
About the only thing that could be a reference to the Résistance is the names of the elves. Or am I missing something here? --Mr Crac 22:18, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
I agree, no clear FR reference. --Peterlorre 22:49, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Can turns roll over onto subsequent days?
If you don't do the Day 1 'mission' on Day 1, can you do it on subsequent days? i.e. do the amount of turns you can spend in the factory pile up, or is it always 49? -- Zucker 08:48, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Turns do add up, did both Day 1 'mission' and Day 2 'mission' today --EnderW 11:29, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Pickpocketing
Thus far, I've been unable to pickpocket anything from the elves. Has anyone else had any luck? --PFC Walker 16:07, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I've successfully pickpocketed things from them. Naltrexone 16:21, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
--I have had plenty of luck pickpocketing from them as well. Misstrain 17:35, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, so the RNG just hates me. --18:18, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- to clarify only the non-quest and non-resistance buttons are pickpocketable and i'm pretty sure the elf buttons are conditional in some way cause none have been swatted away by the black cat --ammy55 05:11, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
Messages
Having completed Day 1 (on Day 1) trying to get in on Day 2 without talking to the Don gives me the all done for the day message, not the "without good reason" message currently in the Notes. "It looks like things are running pretty smoothly at the factory right now -- there's nobody to fight." --Club (#66669) (Talk) 21:10, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Combat frequancey
looking at my combat log for the toy factory the previous days bosses are more likely to appear Combat: amateur elf (6) Combat: auteur elf (6) Combat: bolt-cuttin' elf (9) Combat: monkey wrenchin' elf (10) Combat: provocateur elf (5) Combat: raconteur elf (7) Combat: saboteur elf (4) anyone else or just rng weirdness --ammy55 05:38, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- That doesn't seem weird to me, especially with the small amount of data. Nadando 05:51, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
I think that there is something strange going on with combat frequency here- in particular, Transcendent Olfaction seems to have an exceptionally minimal effect. Will spade more tomorrow. --Peterlorre 21:25, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
slot machine odds
at the end of combat with the elf boss you get this text "Oh, and as thanks for helping us, I'll have my elves rig the slot machines at the casino in your favor. Power to the people!" does the moneez increase --ammy55 05:52, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
Spirit of Crimbo
does the spirit of crimbo from last year do anything special?--Darkmagicpi 19:15, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
