Talk:Cupcake of Choice
Given the description (and the first ten-ish turns I got to try today), I get the impression that this effect might be +initiative. Ten turns is far too small a sample to even think about putting it in the main page, though. (And of course blue usually means either MP (pixel potions) or items (snowcones)) --Tapin 01:15, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
Given the description, I think its more likely to be +initiative.--Anmbia 01:40, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
I'm thinking, given the fact that the description references dancing (not to mention cupcakes more closely parallel snowcones than pixel potions; observe how pink--red--is +meat, purple is +HP/MP, orange is +stats), that it is +items.--LoopyChew 04:27, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
- I hadn't thought about the gravy fairy / maypole / etc connection to dancing. You're probably right. Time for some spading, I suppose. --Tapin 11:08, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
I'm not sure what the upside of it is, but there is a definate downside: while the effect is active, all non-combat skills and buffs are disabled. --Espio 09:53, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
- I haven't heard of this from anybody else. Are you sure that you just didn't have enough MP? Oh, and based on the description you get when eating the cupcake (and the description seems to be relevant for the other cupcakes), I'd like to think that it increases the frequency of non-combats. but initative would make sense, although I'm not sure about the paralleling snowcones thing. I mean green is +monster level instead of +familiar weight. -- Gouku 14:39, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
- I'm sure I had enough MP. I even did a campground rest after I saw all my buff/skill menus empty. I adv'ed the buff down to 1 turn left, checked the menus - they were empty. Did another adv to get rid of the buff, and went straight to the skill page, and all my skills were listed again. I've been trying to get another cupcake to truely verify that the skill page loses its contents as soon as I eat it (and to also test a theory based on the wording that maybe it keeps buffs from counting down), but the RNG hasnt been on my side. Although I guess if the buff-counter thing I thought of was true someone would have noticed it by now. It should be noted I'm an accordian thief. Again, pure theory based on the wording and that I havent been able to verify: perhaps it halts song buff counters, but makes it so you cant get any more (or for ATs, sing any others). --Espio 21:52, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
- Must've been a bug. I just ate a blue cupcake earlier today and didn't get this problem. --LoopyChew 06:12, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
