So does anyone know the origin of this? I mean, I would assume that it came from a very early show in which Jick talked about a past job at which he and a friend chatted about a world in which the only funny thing was salads. Just FYI, but it is theoretically possible to have a near infinite number of adventures because the Wild Hare gives adventures the next day depending on how many are spent the previous day. It is just a matter of how long you have been performing that process. --Wavedash 22:27, 2 April 2008 (CDT)

I wasn't exactly counting but I ate between 5 and 7 salads before getting the tattoo. From the forums (as of the time of this post) the following lists how many salads people have eaten before getting their tattoo: 3, 3, 1, 3, 1, 3, 6, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, ~5, 2, 6-7, 2, 3, 1, 7, 2, 5, 2, 1, 5, 5, 1, 5-6, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 2, 5, 1, 6

And these are how many salads people have eaten without getting one: 2, 5, 5, 7, few, 3, 5, 15

Something to consider is that people are more likely to post if they got it on their first try. Anyway, if you add 1 salad to those that didn't get a tattoo, the percentage chance of getting a tattoo taken from the average from the figures recorded on this page to date is 26.6%.
