Talk:Dirge of Dreadfulness (skill)
I don't know the wiki very well, so heres some information:
You approach the organ, and the shadowy figure playing it, but neither of them seem to notice you. As you reach forward to tap him on the shoulder, that sheet of music you found in the bedroom falls out of your sack, and a freak gust of wind blows it up onto the music stand of the organ.
There is a frightening change in both the mood and the music as he begins to play the dire melodies written on the sheet.
You listen closely to the music. You manage to memorize enough of it to play a reasonable facsimile of it, yourself. The accordion isn't much more than a more portable, more annoying version of a pipe organ, after all.
You gain a skill: Dirge of Dreadfulness
Dirge of Dreadfulness
Type: Buff MP Cost: 9
This song is depressing. Not in a melancholy, I-haven't-heard-this-since-way-back-when way, but in a soul-crushing hopelessness way. Seriously. Sad, sad song.
Dirge of Dreadfulness
Having this song in your head makes you so depressed that you're actually producing palpable waves of gloom. It hurts to stand next to you.
Does anyone know if this skill adds spooky damage to spooky spells, much as the base skill (JSoD) adds to all spell damage? --SketchySolid 21:44, 22 November 2006 (CST)
Stat/Level Restriction?
Is there a stat or level restriction on the DoD? I have it hardcore permed. When my char ascended as a Disco Bandit, it was greyed-out of my buffs list until I had at least 50 moxie. I was still in level 7 when it ungreyed, so it wasn't making level 8 that changed it. I can't find any information about this, so I'm not sure if this was just some odd bug, or a standard thing for this skill (and possibly other Spookyraven skills). If it's standard, it should probably be mentioned in here somewhere.--Stellaria 05:00, 6 February 2007 (CST)
