Talk:Dirty thieving brigand
Mer-kin hookspear:
I think you get to keep meat gotten from critical hits with it, but I am not sure enough to add it to the page. --Lidden 18:49, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- I can confirm, a year on, that Critical hits from the Mer-kin Hookspear allow you to keep meat gained. Might be a better idea to add it to the Meat Farming page that talk about the Mid Level farming here. ;) --Kaitech 17:20, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Gained the following stats:
You gain 7 Strongness. You gain 24 Enchantedness. You gain 11 Cheek.
Pastamancer, NPZR w/ Mayflower (no proc), no stat gain buffs. According to the NO calendar this is not a stat day. Bakapyrite 11:47, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Third adventure, gained the following in meat and stats. I am uncertain how to calculate the actual "stat gain" number, is it simply adding them all together? In both cases the total gain was 42 (7+24+11 and 9+22+11). The meat gained in this case was subject to both Polka of Plenty and a Mayflower Bouquet proc.
You're fighting a dirty thieving brigand
You call forth an eXtreme Ray of Chattering Teeth, dealing 58 damage to your opponent.
You win the fight!
Phyrrrrexian Kagemusha holds the Mayflower bouquet out in front of you, and you stop to smell the flowers. It reminds you that the best things in life are free. Then you remember that you can keep them for the birds and bees, and start sniffing around for extra Meat.
You gain 1989 Meat.
Sister Colliculi approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "Almost all of the Meat is still in the hands of those bandits -- please continue your efforts!"
You gain 9 Muscleboundness. You gain 22 Mysteriousness. You gain 11 Cheek
Bakapyrite 12:26, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Stats (with pilgrim shield equipped) - highest that I got for each stat: You gain 29 Fortitude. You gain 6 Enchantedness. You gain 10 Cheek.
You gain 15 Muscleboundness. You gain 16 Mysteriousness. You gain 14 Smarm.
You gain 18 Beefiness. You gain 11 Enchantedness. You gain 16 Roguishness. (I'm sure that there was one where I got 20 but I clicked to adventure again too soon).
So I'm also getting 42 total, with the additional 3 from the shield. I've had both myst and moxie stat gains be as low as 4.--Zeitgeist 19:46, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
The messages change as you get more of the meat, but I didn't write them down.--Olaf 11:50, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Here's another one of the messages
Sister Ganglia approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "You're almost done! It won't be long now until all of the Meat is recovered!"
--Duzell 17:06, 26 June 2007 (CDT) Another two messages: came in this order after the almost all message.
Sister Colliculi approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "You've recovered a good portion of the stolen Meat, but there's still plenty left."
Sister Hippocampus approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "You've recovered more than half of what was stolen, Adventurer! It won't be long now!"
Then the almost done one after that.
Then: Sister Ganglia approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "I think this is the last of it! However can we repay you for your assistance?"
"Well," you say, "it would really help the war effort if your convent could serve as a hospital for our wounded troops."
"Consider it done," she says. "Stop by whenever you need healing, and we'll be glad to assist you."

A very rough estimate is that I spent around 60 adventures here. All adventures were combat with the brigands. Meat drops were roughly averaging 1500 (w/ Polka and occasional Mayflower procs). This puts the total meat from the Sisters' safe at 90,000 meat, but that is a rough estimate. NPZR ninja procs (stealing meat) did add meat to your personal total, but none of the meat dropped by the brigands at the end of combat is given to you. The brigands never dropped any items (had Fat Leon's and the Mayflower bouquet while adventuring). Bakapyrite 19:02, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
Meat Vortex
From the page: The amount gained dropped as time went on though, so using them on the first few fights is most meat-worthy.. Didnt the author of that just got RNG'ed there? I've received large meat amounts (in the 850-950 range) in the 'almost done' part of the quest as well. --Nappa 16:02, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
ive gained over 1000 each battle, with no +meat drop, unless the volleyball has been changed to add it. Russianspy1234 13:00, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
Same with me, Nappa. And Russianspy, that can't be right, meat vortices are based off the enemy's base meat drop, modifiers don't affect them. No way they are giving more than 1000 meat unless the base meat drop on the page is wrong.--Zeider 03:56, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
Meat gained:
428 687 334 174 730 540 256 509 748 83 407 521 531 215 686 115 108 981 606 844 283 859 485 708 430 315 946 979 545 700 358
That makes an average of approximately 519.7 meat per vortex here. --BaruMonkey 13:10, 18 January 2008 (CST)
Spooky Putty
Question, say you have a spooky putty copied from one of these guys. You complete the quest and then use the spooky putty, would the sisters take meat from you or not?--Emperor Norton II 03:38, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- You could've tried looking at Spooky Putty sheet... --BagatelleT/C 03:44, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Another question: what happens if you complete the quest sans uniform via copying?--Arashmin 18:46, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- I just checked. I finished the war as Frat Warrior and then did this quest via copied monsters (no brigands fought before freeing the king, no brigands fought in a war uniform). Now I have the HP and MP massages from the sisters. I don't know if my choice of which side won affected the sister's reward. Also, after collecting all the stolen meat, the next brigand fought reverted to the less than 1/4 meat collected message when the sister took it but didn't stop access to the massages. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 09:56, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
Moxie for no-hit
The The Themthar Hills page says that these monsters' Moxie for not getting hit is 176, but I'm getting hit with 177 Moxie. As far as I'm able to determine, I have no ML-affecting equipment or buffs set. No detuned radio or anything like that, either. --Andorin Kato 07:50, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
- ML variance. That and critical hits. --Flargen 07:56, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
- Variance was it. I took critical hits into account, but ML variance was what I missed. --Andorin Kato 09:58, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Mafia pointer finger ring
So, has anybody tested that? It seems like it would be pretty useful if you get your crit rate up.
