Talk:Disintegrating sheet music

From A KoL Wiki
  • Since this can be cast on player in the middle of combat, does that mean we have a new little trick to help against the NS? Sweet, although that bug has a half a chance of being fixed in the future.--Dehstil (t|c) 18:39, 18 December 2006 (CST)
  • Has anyone tried combining this with a disintegrating ink quill? It seems like the kind of thing that might work... --Mxylptlk 19:12, 4 January 2007 (CST)
  • It does work vs the NS. Cast in on a clan mate fighting the NS, said he got 10 turns of Violent Night.--Error1 00:49, 6 January 2007 (CST)

The page makes no mention of this, but I believe what spell you get it weighted. After 34 songss:

Coy to the Hurled (40) White Knuckles (40) Don't Rest Ye, Bold Adventurer (70) Frosty the Hitman (90) Violent Night (100)

Seems violent night is more likely than the others. Anyone with a ton of songs able to spade percent chances? Also, whats so special about casting songs in NS fight? You can just as easily do it right before. --Jayrare 11:32, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

  • I suspect you've never actually tried buffing yourself before the NS fight, otherwise you would know that she removes all effects immediately at the beginning of combat. --Quietust (t|c) 11:47, 16 May 2007 (CDT)
    • Also, a mere 34 songs is not a decent sample size to be drawing conclusions from. You need at LEAST a couple hundred before you can start making reasonable statistical calculations. --Hellion 13:56, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

Oh crap, I forgot she unbuffs. And I know the 34 is not a decent sample, sorry if I mis-worded it, what I was trying to get at was someone who did have a lot of songs should spade it, as it seems likely the odds of some are more likely than others. I still believe this to be true, as I almost always get violent night or frosty the hitman in any group, no matter how small. So, can someone with a lot of songs figure out what the odds are?--Jayrare 09:01, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
