Talk:Divine cracker
You pull the ends of the cracker, and it makes a loud noise. Your opponent looks a little shaken up. And hey, it looks like the cracker had a prize inside it! Or maybe this thing just got knocked loose from your opponent by the force of the sound. It's hard to tell. You acquire an item: cranberries [eat]

Awww, mine didn't have a toy or anything, just the opponent looks a little shaken up message.--Denarius 22:54, 3 January 2008 (CST)
Maybe it does something like pickpocketing skill? Where you get a drop from the monester. Did you get any items from the monester after you killed it? I tried the cracker but I recieved nothing either --Pakrat 23:03, 3 January 2008 (CST)
Mine contained an item that the monster I was fighting could drop. That appears to be the mechanic. Has anyone used theirs against a monster with no drop? Or a monster with a pickpocket only drop? --Dannyboy 00:06, 4 January 2008 (CST)
It seems that item drop perecent doesn't effect the percent that an item will drop when this item is used.--Pakrat 01:13, 4 January 2008 (CST)
If you get an item from the Cracker, can it still be dropped at combat's end? --Rodger Flint 05:12, 4 January 2008 (CST)
So far my expierence has said no. For looking at percent of chance of getting an item. So far I used 4 and got 2 items from it. People feel free to add their numbers here. --Pakrat 09:43, 4 January 2008 (CST)
I'm going to test this more when I have crackers to work with but has anyone used this item and recieved an item that normaly is only dropped if the pick pocketing skill is used?--Pakrat 15:06, 4 January 2008 (CST)
Statistics
They're a bit expensive to test in mass numbers right now, but here are some quick stats:
- Beans from beanbats: 11011011
- Chalkdust from wraiths: 1111
Both consistent with the pickpocket mechanic. --Starwed 13:08, 4 January 2008 (CST)
At the inexplicable door, I tested yoinking and then using a divine cracker. In each case the pickpocket worked, the cracker didn't. (Sample size 4) There might be a hard cap on this effect...
Also, I saw a delevel ranging from -10 to -12 ML. (Again, sample size 4) --Starwed 13:18, 4 January 2008 (CST)
4 times in 23 at clingy pirates. --Eniteris 12:59, 18 February 2008 (CST)
Not sure that this needed spading, but it seems you can only steal from a monster once per combat. However, if you fail, you may still potentially steal from it later in the combat.

Gaijin
The "immortal gaijin" reference is probably from the tv show Heroes. Adam Monroe is Takezo Kensei, a fabled japanese hero whom Hiro met when he traveled back on time. Hiro discovers that his beloved Kensei was an englishman with the power of regeneration (Hiro himself called Kensei a "gaijin" the first time they met). Due to his power, Adam was able to survive for 400 years without aging, becoming immortal. Ryuuta 21:21, 5 January 2008 (CST)
Forgot to add - Adam also regards himself as a god. He's tried to unleash plagues in order to save the world and purify it. I guess that's why he was mentioned in a divine item. :P Ryuuta 21:25, 5 January 2008 (CST)
- Doubtful. Gaijin could be referenced from any number of sources to which geeks can access. For instance Gaijin was discussed at length in the film/book Rising Sun.Ludomonster
mote
Can you use this to get the frigid mote familiar?--Blood panther 22:56, 25 January 2008 (CST)
Also, can this be used to gain other pickpocket-only items? --Devion 20:30, 2 February 2008 (CST)
I used a cracker on 70 ninja weaponmasters with no frigid mote drops, so I would assume that means that it cannot get pickpocket only items.--Manendra 21:12, 12 June 2008 (CDT)
Used a handful of these in the Hobopolis Sewers and I have yet to see chum drop from a cracker --Shoptroll 09:32, 10 July 2008 (CDT)
Data
I set about gathering some data from the ratbats. Results so far:
- Ratbats crackered: 145
- 37 rat appendix, 28 ratguts, 0 ratarangs
--Starwed 02:25, 27 February 2008 (CST)
Currently, crackering ratarangs is heavily disfavored: about a 0.05% chance, if it works like pickpocket. And if it doesn't, is there really any reason to thing ratarangs might be obtained? --Starwed 22:53, 28 February 2008 (CST)
Additional data from AFH forums with beanbats:
- Antipasta: 27/30
- QNM: 115/145
That's a rate of 81%, instead of 50%.
My data above gives rates of 25% and 19%, rather than a base of a bit less than 15%. Note that both the enchanted bean and appendix data give about a 1.6× boost compare to the base rate. It's conceivable that, unlike pickpocket, it's going in a set order: if appendices were prioritized over guts, you'd expect to see only an 18% rate of getting the guts. (And a really, really low rate of ratarangs.) The best place to check this is tavern rats. --Starwed 22:16, 11 March 2008 (CDT)
After 60 crackers used, it would appear that Chum C.H.U.M. is not attainable with a cracker.--Narc 23:48, 17 August 2008 (CDT)
