Talk:Dwarvish war mattock
Adventuring in the Castle, I got this message: Your mattock glows really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really bright blue.
Against some stranglin' algae, it was "Your mattock glows really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really bright blue."
The number of "really"s went down as the fight went on. Areas with weaker monsters had just a few "really"s on there.
I think it may be related to how much health the monster has remaining.--Palpitations 00:24, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Lord of the Rings reference? Sting glows brighter blue when there's more badasses nearby, right? Hippoking 00:58, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Wielding the war mattock in one hand and a detective skull in the other, I'm seeing 15 reallys for every 100 HP the monster has, or one really for every 6 2/3 HP. --Johnny Treehugger 02:08, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Shouldn't it be one "really" for every 7 HP? --Itsatrap 17:03, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, look at that, it is. Fighting 600+ HP fish in the brinier deeps gives more accurate results than 300+ HP frat orc cavemen, who knew. Oh... 7... dwarves... base 7... I get it. I get jokes. --Johnny Treehugger 18:26, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Against an 22 Stone Golem at Fernswarthy's Basement (Level 327) the mattock also shows "Your mattock glows so brightly that it makes your eyes hurt." peter50216 13:28, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- And after dealing 2309 damage the message become "Your mattock glows really*81 bright blue.", So it's original HP should be about 2876.
"really" to "too bright" barrier
If a monster has 694 or more HP, the mattock says it's glowing too brightly. The NS form 2 has 600 HP, i let her heal, the mattock claimed too bright. I hit her with a slime stack for 111 damage, the mattock claimed 588 HP. I hit her for 3 additional damage, the estimate went down to 581, meaning she had exactly 581 HP at that point. So 581 + 114 = 695 HP. So she had healed 95 HP. This means that the barrier for glowing too brightly is 694 or more HP, not over 700. I think this makes sense, because at 694 HP, it would be 100 "really" words. --RoyalTonberry 21:13, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
