Talk:Effects by number
From A KoL Wiki
What's up with effects number 84, 85 and 88? --Tularion 02:48, 19 March 2007 (CDT)
- Honestly, I have no idea. I've always wondered that when I came across this page. Effects 84, 85, 88, as well as 87 (Two Left Feet) don't even show up in-game. --TheDotGamer 06:58, 19 March 2007 (CDT)
So with the new Disguises Delimit path, I just got an effect from a mask-wearing monster with effect ID 85 called Chokeheld which gives -90% Mysticality. As far as I can tell this isn't an effect that currently exists on the wiki but when I saw ID 85 and a few others listed as non-descript effects I was hoping to get more info before updating something that possibly doesn't need updating. Is this some sort of ID that multiple effects share or just an effect ID that has never been used.--Butterflygirlkmc (talk) 18:20, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
IDs
- Is there a way to get these effect IDs with the change to the description URLs that I don't know about, or is this section screwed? --Ricket 14:17, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
- Never mind, just realized that soft green echo eyedrop antidote's use page has IDs. --Ricket 17:23, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
- Hey. Just figured out another way to get effect IDs without SGEEAs! It's probably the most annoying way to find any ID, but if you use...
- javascript:void(mainpane.location='charsheet.php?pwd=HASH_GOES_HERE&action=unbuff&whichbuff=ID_GOES_HERE')
- ...you'll get either... "You don't have that effect." or "That can't be shrugged off." If you work your way through the effect IDs that are currently unknown, you'll run into the corresponding ID for your active effect.
- Currently, this method is time consuming. It will get less time consuming as more effects IDs are discovered, and removed from the list of possibilities. I don't think it's too KoL server hammery. It also doesn't seem to work with intrinsics, so we're still screwed when it comes to those. Oh well. At least you don't need a soft green effect eyedrop antidote. --Ricket 14:32, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
