• Seems more likely that someone took a wild stab at the actual effect, which became codified into gospel with no proper spading to ever verify it.... The effect is definitely much less than 50%, though. A good starting guess, given that Egg-stortionary Tactics is supposedly +50% meat drops, and also given the historical relationship between meat drop effects and item drop effects, would be 20% or 25%. --Hellion 20:30, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

• I dunno, Hellion... I remember the effect as being quite large and noticeable before, which is unusual for +item effects; 50% didn't seem out of line. Bizkut's 100 adventures showed exactly zero effect. And the first oyster day was eight months before snowcones, which gave equal +meat and +items; the current relationship hadn't been established yet. I'm guessing that the effect either broke with NS13 or was greatly reduced. --Toper 18:58, 1 June 2008 (CDT)

• I got 4/200 beans with this effect and a SCUBA gear, which would indicate a bonus of about 5%. If it's 10%, getting 4/200 has a chance of about .017, so I think we can rule that or anything more out, and it's unlikely that they made it not a multiple of 5. This would make the effect entirely useless, considering that it costs a spleen hit, and is probably a bug. --Missim 04:44, 16 June 2008 (CDT)

Spading in the Beanbat Chamber with +89% items and this effect, I got 379/380 beans to drop (meaning it is less than +11% drops). Going with +90% items and this effect, I got 790/790 beans to drop, further supporting that it is quite likely to be +10% items. --Lostcalpolydude 12:49, 22 August 2008 (CDT)
