Talk:El Vibrato Megadrone (hatchling)
Creation
- since the creation of this is somewhat intricate, would anyone object to a summary of the necessary steps on this page? --Evilkolbot 01:59, 12 February 2008 (CST)
Assuming you have opened the portal and have the items below:

- Use an El Vibrato punchcard (213 holes) and an El Vibrato punchcard (182 holes) on a Towering construct with an El Vibrato drone in your inventory to get a broken El Vibrato drone.
- Use an El Vibrato punchcard (97 holes) and an El Vibrato punchcard (182 holes) on a Lonely construct with a broken El Vibrato drone in your inventory to get a repaired El Vibrato drone.
- Use an El Vibrato punchcard (129 holes) and an El Vibrato punchcard (182 holes) on a Bizarre construct with a repaired El Vibrato drone in your inventory to get an augmented El Vibrato drone.

Musings on the proposed list
i'll try this in a minute --Evilkolbot 14:19, 12 February 2008 (CST)
- yup, this works as advertised. i was surprised by the low drop-rate on cards, so this should probably either
- tell you which constructs to fight using which cards to get the cards you need
- tell you to buy them in the mall
- since i was unprepared, it took me 45 turns to get this so i had to insert a sphere to reawaken the portal. had i had wads of cards to start with it wouldn't have taken me as long. hmmm. --Evilkolbot 11:35, 13 February 2008 (CST)
The list will certainly need to state that you may need more than 2 spheres, depending on your luck. Or, more specifically, that your turns at the portal are limited and you need more spheres to get more turns. With horrible luck, you may not even encounter all of the right enemies before your portal's base charges are consumed, even if you have all of the cards and spheres needed from the start. Plus, some people may have already used up their portal's base charges before deciding to head over to the wiki for the procedure. Buying them isn't too horribly expensive right now. Should be cheaper than buying what you need for an NPZR. The 104 card is down in the 100-200k range last I checked (long gone is that glorious first day when they were going for 1m and my multis raked in the dough). The cost of extra spheres for portal turns can really crank up the cost of this endeavor, making pre-buying the cards a pretty good idea. --Flargen 13:08, 13 February 2008 (CST)
FYI: "Do not bend, fold, spindle or mutilate" was a warning present on punch cards specifically, hence the reference. --Lizardking 05:20, 3 August 2008 (CDT)
