Just a weird thought... Do you have to dig up the empty lot this lifetime, or can you wait until the next ascension? I know that's not how quests work, but there is something about this quest that makes me wonder. Anyway, this would not be the first time in this game (Arrrbor Day) that you could do something to affect a future ascension. Unfortunately I'm busy with other things and won't be ready to test this for a while to come. --Bale 21:13, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Doesn't work, unfortunately. I tried it for a speedrun (would be nice to have those pants around mid-game), but empty lot is empty. --Mtfns 16:04, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
