Well I guess I won't spoiler too much yet, but I can safely say it reduces meat drops. Very limited attempts seem to suggest a 25% decrease. I'm wondering how much spading we're going to get with this stuff. --lucasw 8:50, 16 July 2007 (CDT)

  • Presumably, the reduced meat drops would be a side effect - the bit about wanting everything suggests it might be boosting item drops. Then again, it's certainly possible that the entire point of this skill is to punish the player, and making it permanent would be counterproductive (assuming it even lets you). --Quietust (t|c) 09:53, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
  • Well, I've convinced myself that the drop rate has increased, but I haven't been paying close enough attention or had enough time to get a good idea about how much of an increase there is, but that's the impression I'm under. I'm interested myself in if they let us perm it. --lucasw 10:25, 18 July 2007 (CDT)
  • If that's the case, that it's a -25% meat drop, I wonder if Greed does something similar, and getting both will net an actual % increase in item/meat% drops... Rithe 11:49, 18 July 2007 (CDT)
    • Looking at the Brimstone items, it seems that it's a big buff, followed by a minor penalty. I'd bet (but not the farm), on something like +some arbitrary percentage item drops, and -one half (or so.) of that percentage meat drops.--InvalidUser 17:14, 20 July 2007 (CDT)
      • It seems TPTMBG think 1% item drops=2% meat drops in worth (look at fairy/leprechaun etc.) so it would be 25% item drop increase. I bet its 20% though.--Dwarfenrifle 00:12, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
  • I would also suggest that this skill also confers the <potential> packrat effect of having a small chance of the monster dropping everything available --Bigquack 09:55, 9 October 2007 (CDT)
