Talk:Extra PvP Fights

From A KoL Wiki

The inclusion of the new depleted grimacite PVP items allows for more than 50 bonus advs. from equip as suggested on this page. This would bump the equip total to 54 under +5 moon days, making the theoretical max PVPs on a day four higher than before.

Using a spice melange should allow you to drink another jar of fermented pickle juice without becoming falling-down drunk in the scenario presented. This would then allow you to use another Red Minotaur or Hatorade for one more PvP. --maharito 03:42, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

impossible

The list for the most possible fights is impossible, because you have to be Oxygenarian to have spleen of steel, and so you can't eat sliders or drink pickle juice. Starguy 19:26, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Wrong. You have to be oxygenarian when you finish the steel item quest. You can then either break the prism or drop oxygenarian and be able to eat while still having the spleen of steel. --Lordebon 19:44, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Copied off the spleen of steel page:"This skill cannot be kept if you drop the Oxygenarian path." True about after you break the prism, though. Starguy 20:31, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Max fights per day

While the theoretical maximum is nice, what we currently have only applies to a dark-grimace Feast of Boris: This can only happen on real-life Thanksgiving, and is very rare. I think it would be more helpful to have the number calculated at the top be how many fights you can get every day, assuming conditions are not ideal. The ideal perfect maximum should be kept, but in my opinion it should be as an interesting note under the chart of modifiers, not in a prominent position at the top of the page. --timrem 20:34, 5 May 2012 (CEST)

Just checking the Noblesse Oblige calendar shows that such an event won't happen until 2019, so it should certainly be changed. However I'm not sure it should be replaced with an assumption of no favourable conditions, since both Feast of Boris and 5-darkness days happen frequently enough to at least be notable. Also, assuming 0-darkness constantly understates the importance of the Grimacite gear. Should there maybe be two figures given? --Dryhad 03:00, 27 June 2012 (CEST)
I just reworked that section slightly, and moved it down from the top of the page to a Notes section at the bottom. It now accounts for the possibility of banking pvp fights over rollover, seperates the equipment and consumption sections, and makes it clear that Boris and dark Grimace are very unlikely to coincide. It's still not particularly helpful or even complete though. For example it doesn't have any mention of using an Artistic Goth Kid, but my head spins a little at the thought of working out the maximum number of combats you could spend with one (particularly as not every combat has to cost an adventure).
