Talk:First Mate's Log Entry Nine: The Final Friday

From A KoL Wiki

Three choices (possibly affected by choice in previous log entries) :

Open a New Bathtub Crayon Box
Sing a Bathtime Tune
Surround Bubbles with Crayons

Picked Sing a Bathtime Tune (Crew-2;Crayons+3;Bubbles+14)

The crew heard an eerie, irresistible voice singing a song in a language they could not understand. The Captain ordered all to stuff their ears with cotton, but even he could not resist the song, and soon found himself steering the vessel to an island made of foam. There, sunning themselves on the beach, were creatures half-woman and half-fish, beautiful but cruel. They sang on, urging us to throw ourselves into the water and swim to them. Crewmen Fredrickson and Alvarez flung themselves overboard and struck out for the island, and were never seen again. And perhaps the whole crew might have followed, had not a Cyclops appeared, jealous of his Siren harem. He hurled boulders of foam and waxy crayon planks at the ship until the crew feared the vessel would be swamped, but the Captain was able to steer away from that accursed place before more crew was lost.

This brought me down to zero Crew, but as it also was the last choice I possibly failed to find out what happens if you run out early... I got the normal gather your toys ending. --OldJanitor 11:05, 4 January 2013 (CET)

Red sky, fresh wind SSW. Our journey of madness and peril seems to be coming to an end. Yeoman Voorhees gave the shout of "Land ho!" from the crow's nest, and claims to have spotted through his spyglass a country of soft fluffy fields of white. Could it be the Terrycloth Towel at long last? As of now, the land is invisible to the naked eye, but it should take us less than a week to get there.

  • Draw a big storm cloud on the shower wall
  • Knock an action figure overboard
  • Submerge some bubbles

Choice 3:

The Captain ordered the crew to release depth charges made from our precious foam supply. The crew respectfully questioned the captain's decision, but he explained the foam would slow the foul creatures of the deep that beset our cursed voyage. --Evilkolbot 23:13, 4 January 2013 (CET)
