Talk:Frank "Skipper" Dan, the Accordion Lord

From A KoL Wiki

Looks like "Weird Al" Yankovic and he sings "White and Nerdy", so that ref seems obvious. Where does the name come from though? --Club (#66669) (Talk) 04:26, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

At the end of the fight, after "You win the fight!":

It'll be a while before anybody thinks they can get away with having a non-stolen accordion around these parts, that's for sure.

I didn't want to try to add that to the page right now, since it's a storm of edits. Figured I'd record it somewhere, though. --Southwest (talk) 04:32, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

It's definitely Weird Al. Skipper Dan is one of his songs. There's an album named Running with Scissors. He also has songs named Weasel Stomping Day, Like a Surgeon, You Don't Love Me Anymore, Nature Trail to Hell, and Achy Breaky Song. The numb/drill/floss/bill is a reference to another of his songs named Cavity Search. And he's rather famous for his polka covers of popular songs. -- Theraze (talk) 04:35, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Missed it earlier, but there's also a song of his named Frank's 2000 inch TV. Which explains where the "Frank" part of the name comes from. -- Theraze (talk) 04:41, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

The donuts and the "rabid weasels" are also a reference to his song "Albuquerque". DragonFyre (talk) 10:10, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

He also has a song called "Frank's 2000 inch TV".-Toffile (talk) 11:17, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Encounter

As far as I can tell, the first wandering accordionist you'll fight on Day 3 of the event will drop an item, a suspicious address. (It's a real item and it drops form accordionists, I'm just not sure if it's always the first accordionist you fight.) When you use it, it brings you to this fight. --Southwest (talk) 04:58, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Damage Reduction

From what I observed, Weird Al here takes 20% of damage from all sources, or something like that. Hit for ~600 with Fearful Fettucini on Halloween monsters, hit for ~120 on him. --The ErosionSeeker (talk) 14:15, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

  • (.25x-50)^.85+50. He caps at 1500 stats, too. You're welcome!

Deleveling

Is it possible that he has some kind of resistance to deleveling? I used a bunch of funkslung bronzed locusts, which seemed to work at first but then he started hitting me again - normal hits, not the critical. --Notsupposedtobehere (talk) 17:17, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
