Talk:Free Crafting Priority
Thor's Pliers also work with smithing, not just jewelry. Also, the Loathing Legion jackhammer takes precedent over the pliers if both are in your inventory ~Erich t/c 20:09, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
Brought it up to date. Determined the order of Meatsmithing helpers by putting an auto-anvil in my workshed, having the jackhammer and pliers in inventory, permed prototyping, and used a recording of Inigo's, all while under a Knoll sign (Vole). I made some meat helmets to confirm that Innabox jumped in and didn't use anything else, and then I crafted a bunch of bat-ass jackets one at a time. Going by the crafting messages, the crafting first used the auto-anvil, then the jackhammer, and then the pliers, followed by Inigo's and lastly Prototyping before finally starting to cost me Adventures. (That makes sense, using the specific-task helpers before the general-crafting-task helpers.) I closeted my tenderizing hammers and jewelry pliers to make sure the jackhammer and Thor's pliers took their place; they did. When I closeted the jackhammer, I could no longer do any meatsmithing, and when Thor's pliers got stashed I could not make jewelry; when I retrieved them, I could use them to craft again, even after their charges were expended. --Terion (talk) 07:52, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
I don't dislike the page name, but it doesn't feel quite right to me; while a big part of the page is the priority order of the various free crafting items, it seems to me more like a page that is being the collection point for all the info regarding the free crafting sources in general. If someone feels it would be better named as "Free Crafting" or some suggestion better than that (which shouldn't be hard ;) ), I would not vote against it being changed. --Terion (talk) 08:08, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- You have my support if you feel renaming it is a good idea. --Wrldwzrd89 (talk) 13:34, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
Expert Corner-Cutter and Holiday Multitasking (skill) both seem to require an adventure in order to use (though they do save an adventure). Possibly a rule for Priority 12 and higher. --NeoTrup (talk) 19:48, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
