--Wavedash 14:40, 19 June 2008 (CDT)My clanmate says 75 HP, so I added that. --Wavedash 12:36, 19 June 2008 (CDT)

Toy helmet showed me 280... I think it scales.--Gleezus 13:43, 19 June 2008 (CDT)

  • Aw... removing...

Benetton's Medley of Diversity is missing from the drops section of the little square on the right. My wiki-fu is too weak... could someone fix that? --Jacky T 04:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

  • There's an "edit data" link right in the box. Once you open it up, it should be obvious how to add the missing item. Remember to check the combat page after saving, as preview doesn't work with metadata. --Bagatelle 17:33, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Dual wielding the yohohoyo does 11 damage a round resulting in 330 total damage in 30 rounds, so if you have a familiar that attacks you should be able to beat him. --Ama laria 01:36, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

I didn't feel like levelling a familiar, so I used the MagiMechTech MicroMechaMech equipped with an ant sickle. That's worth 1 damage every round, 2 fire and 3 spooky roughly every three rounds. LizardKing 06:44, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

reducing all damage to 3

Does anyone know if divine items work against him? --Nailah 21:48, 8 August 2008 (CDT)

I spent several adventures trying. One thing to note is that he does appear to take one point of cold damage.

Stats: 347/409/342; I'm a level 21 pastamancer. According to my detective skull he has ~347 hit points, thus making it completely impossible for me to beat him.

At those stats, it is also (at least, the times I've tried which was ~10) impossible for me to hit.

--La Trattoria 02:28, 25 June 2008 (CDT)

This is odd... I am only able to do three damage no matter which spell or attack I use. What does this mea? How have other approached this? --Pastamancer5 23:35, 19 June 2008 (CDT)

Use something other than spells? --Flargen 23:43, 19 June 2008 (CDT)
I encountered this problem as well and got past it by using every elemental nugget then attacking effectively doing 1-3 damage for each element per turn --Gotmilk 00:05, 20 June 2008 (CDT)
I'm currently using an obsidian dagger which is having the same effect, but according to my toy plastic helmet, he has 360 HP which is impossible to attain in 30 rounds. What are your stats? I think he is scaling to something. --Pastamancer5 00:25, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

O hai, GotMilk. I'm guessing you did what you do to all other damage resistant enemies in the Kingdom for a one-hit kill? --Wavedash 12:44, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

He is not physically resistant. He is reduces all damage to 1.

It was quite easy to kill him with an obsidian dagger, Acid-squirting flower, Bottle opener belt buckle, Hippy protest button and saucespheres. --Mrfreeman 12:37, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

I battled him four times before I beat it him. I used a spirit precipice (5x critical) + the five elemental nuggets, three attack accessories (bottle-opener belt buckle, NanoMechaMech, acid-shooting flower), saucespheres, much combat-initiative boosting effects, chalky hand, an attack familiar and lunging thrust-smacks. My previous attempts had too many cases where I just didn't connect with Frosty. I'd get 11 damage in good rounds but miss rounds were killing me. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 15:49, 26 June 2008 (CDT)

You could've just used gremlin juice to solve the miss problem. Otherwise, this is the setup my level 49 clanmate used, but with an obsidian dagger and random off-hand weapon. He had to actually buff his HP up to the 4000 range or so, since having a base moxie of 2000 was making it impossible for frosty to hit him, and thus impossible for him to win; he tanked his moxie with the furry outfit and a patchouli incense stick so he could always get hit, but then needed the extra HP to survive. --Flargen 15:53, 26 June 2008 (CDT)
Oh the survive problem I handled with funkslinging scented massage oil and a sawblade fragment. Only needed to do it once. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 16:18, 26 June 2008 (CDT)
Wait, does the fragment bypass frosty's damage reduction? And my clanmate didn't want to use the massage oils, since knocking frosty out would mean he wouldn't hit and trigger all fo the items and spheres. Plus he didn't have any in his inventory at the time. --Flargen 16:22, 26 June 2008 (CDT)
  • saucespheres, goat, asf, hpb, was hitting him five times per round. important thing was the right elemental form, which gave three of each damage per hit. --Evilkolbot 12:03, 29 June 2008 (CDT)
    • I wanted to stick Spookyform/Hotform advice onto the miniguide in the notes section, but couldn't remember if it calculates each parenthesised damage counter and then applies xform (maximises damage) or collapses the total damage into one number and then applies the xform. This could arguably make a difference depending on what one carries into battle. --Bagatelle 21:02, 4 July 2008 (CDT)

I'd just like to add that if you have a hatrack, you should consider using the clown wig. It deals prismatic damage, which is very good for this battle. However, it does act as a potato, but I was able to beat him easily anyway.--Shademaster00 20:21, 30 June 2008 (CDT)

Has anyone tried to use a scroll of ancient unspeakable evil or a pygmy blowgun?--Larryboy 22:41, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

Another useful item is an ant rake or ant sickle on a familiar, if you can spare the +5 pounds to a fighting fairy--Earlobe Grey Tea 01:21, 28 August 2008 (CDT)

Frosty mugs

  • Frosty dropped 4 frosty mugs for me, but I don't know how to put that in the item-drop template properly....--Hellion 11:46, 20 June 2008 (CDT)
    • I had about ~760% Item drop

Equipment was Hodgman's Regal Frippery + Hodgman's metal detector + Zinc Delta of Tranquility+ Mr. Accessory Jr. and the Scratch 'n' sniff crossbow + 3 Scratch 'n' sniff unicorn sticker

Effects were: User:Icon315/Item Drop

I only got 7 of Frosty's Frosty Mugs

Would the Friars Booze buff effect the item drop?--Icon315 03:47, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

  • Doubt it. It's a usable item, not a booze. --TechSmurf 04:03, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Added. --Wavedash 12:31, 20 June 2008 (CDT)
    • Just to clarify, though, when they dropped, it said: "You acquire 4 Frosty's frosty mugs", on a single line, not on 4 separate lines. --Hellion 12:54, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

Skill Drop

It dropped Benetton's Medley of Diversity for me. Still rather new at all this so not sure how to update the page. Here's the info...

This is the sheet music to a real melting pot of a song -- Benetton's Medley of Diversity.

Type: usable Cannot be discarded NOTE: This item grants a skill that can only be used by Accordion Thieves. --Loammi 16:44, 21 June 2008 (CDT)

AWESOME.

I think Awesome Balls of Fire does more against him. That's what my clannies told me, anyway.--Duty 07:34, 23 June 2008 (CDT)

no it does NOT work I tried it and it did exactly 3 damage. --Flyinglama 20:51, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

Critical Hit.

Much in the manner of Jack Frost, he nips at your nose. And your calf, and your calf. Thats one of his critical hits :)

He smacks you upside the kidney with the flat side of his nailbat. It sort of makes you wish you had an icepack. Ooh, I got this one.

Combat Items

Using shrinking powder might sound like an obvious move, but if you try it you'll get a message that says something to the effect of "the wind blows it all away, what bad luck"; the can of hairspray that I used the same turn went off without a hitch. I don't know if this shrinking powder behavior is common to other bosses, but none of the current entries list it. --Noskilz 12:21, 1 July 2008 (CDT)

Just took out Frosty fairly easily, with a fairly simple tactic in addition to the normal prismatic damage, et al... I funkslung a possessed tomato and a Colon Annihilation Hot Sauce. Just from that, Frosty took 6 damage a round; in conjunction with Comic Violence, a never-fumble enchantment, and prismatic damage, you're pretty much guaranteed to kill Frosty -- so long as you can survive that long. But, since you don't need him to be hitting you in this tactic, you can boost your moxie without concern. --Terion 00:56, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Bypassing Physical Resistance

I noticed that Disco Bleeding does indeed do it's normal damage (15-18 damage rather than 1 damage). Is this true of all attacks that bypass physical resistance (such as the similar effect from sawblade fragments)? I didn't think to try a sawblade fragment myself to find out. --Rgon 09:28, 9 August 2008 (CDT)

Disco Bleeding was previously worked, but is now reduced to 1 damage --Earlobe Grey Tea 01:18, 28 August 2008 (CDT) 01:17, 28 August 2008 (CDT)

Sawblade frags no longer bypass his resistance --gregmasta 20:34, 9 September 2008 (PST)

As further commentary on this - stuff like sawblade fragments and pygmy blowguns do not bypass his resistance, but they continue to damage frosty. If your blowgun would normally last four rounds, it will still damage him for four rounds - it will only do one damage each time, though. --Parse 18:01, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Use Incredibly hulking and other muscle buffs to raise HP and use sauce spheres + damage attacker equipment and rainbow damge

Space Trip safety headphones

Would the -100 ML off the headphones help against Frosty by lowering his HP? --Chef Rannos 02:47, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

I was asked to post my guide for Frosty ... so, here it is ... - AvangionQ / September 24th, 2010.

Make sure that your items are set up to fight Frosty -- here's what you need ...

1: Use a prismatic weapon ... Club of the Five Seasons, Immense Cyborg Hand ... or use a Piddles, Prismatic Wad or Benetton's Medley of Diversity buff beforehand.
2: If you have two weapon fighting, equip a second weapon -- recommend a Scorpion Whip ... otherwise, the Six-rainbow shield is a good idea ... better yet, equip an off-hand item that deals damage in its own right ... Cup of Infinite Pencils, Ol' Scratch's Stove Door, Oscus's Garbage Can Lid, Balloon Shield.
3: Your three accessories should all produce independent damage ... Groovy Prism Necklace, Acid Squirting Flower, Hippy Protest Button, Bottle Opener Belt Buckle, MagiMechTech NanoMechaMech, Cannonball Charrrm Bracelet, Spiky Turtle Shoulderpads.
4: Your familiar should be a damage dealing type and equipped with an Ant Rake, Ant Sickle, Movable Feast or Plastic Pumpkin Bucket ... if you have an elemental gravy fairy or a green pixie, those tend to be the best.
5: Having elemental saucespheres (from your choice of buffbots) is highly recommended.
6: The Mutant Couture outfit has some interesting options to use against Frosty ...
7: Reduce your moxie as best you can, you want Frosty to hit you, so that you can deal reflexive damage ... Dangling Chad's Loincloth, Patchouli Incense Stick or if your moxie is *really* high, the Furry Suit outfit: Wolf Mask & Furry Pants.
8: Lastly, a Handful of Hand Chalk, Gremlin Juice or best yet Bronze Handcuffs would be great ... this will eliminate the fumble chance.

Use a Possessed Tomato and a Colon Annihilation Sauce in the first and second round ... then if you have the turtle tamer's combo butt attacks, use those ... otherwise, normal melee attacks work best ... just make sure you have enough HP to survive 20+ rounds ...

PS, don't forget to buff for item drops ... and if you have a Rage Gland, vent it ...

The Space trip headphones do lower frosty's HP by 100, bringing it down to 250 this means that with a prismatic attack (prismatic wad for no equip slot) you will kill him in 25 turns. So you can dress for items except for one accessory and if you can survive 25 rounds you can kill him no problem. you can use other methods to get more damage but I feel that it is easier to just survive through higher HP and cold res --Stumpsmcgee 10:17, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
