Talk:Fuzzy Dice
From A KoL Wiki
Dice, for the joy of it. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 21:18, 30 April 2008 (CDT)
"Eleven. <name> bashes into your opponent, doing some <familiar's weight x 2> damage. It's ridiculous. It's not even funny."
This is (probably) a reference to the Negativland song "Time Zones" from the "Escape from noise" album. --Popenheimer 11:33, 22 December 2005 (Central Standard Time)
- We should add where familiars are found. --Jedibob5 15:42, 24 May 2006 (CDT)
- That information is on the page for the larval-stage...thing. You know? Like fuzzy dice? --Ricket 16:46, 24 May 2006 (CDT)
Randomness
- How are the randomness of the dice? Is it like rolling two regular dice with 7 being the most common result, or is it the same chance for all the numbers? -- NitraMo SA TT 11:21, 28 May 2006 (CDT)
- Wow. good question. Jick might not have thought of the most common result on 2 dice being 7, but he might have. Someone should do some research.--Jedibob5 19:37, 7 August 2006 (CDT)
- 3, 3, 6, 6, 5, 10, 9, 10, 8, 3, 2 for numbers 2 through 12, respectively. It looks pretty similar to a standard roll of the dice. I could do a chi test, but I don't think it's necessary. --UglyPanda 21:24, 7 August 2006 (CDT)
- Another sample: 1 4 9 10 14 23 15 21 12 10 1. Also looks like regular dice (2+random(6)+random(6)) -Hurax 11:00, 13 September 2006 (CDT)
Delevel Effect
- I've been testing the fuzzy dice against the NS. At 18 pounds, every time a 5 is rolled the NS first form shimmers. I have no other deleveling equipment active, so I'm assuming the dice cause the deleveling. This has happened multiple times, and has been added to the main article.--QuantumNightmare 16:46, 12 March 2007 (CDT)
- I'll admit my phrasing wasn't very good, but why was the fact that the dice delevel on a roll of 5 removed from the page?--QuantumNightmare 22:18, 23 June 2007 (CDT)
Strengths and Weaknesses
It's been my experience starting with a level 2 Fuzzy Dice, beating a level 8 Saber-Tooth Lime regularly at the Scavenger Hunt, and level 13, losing to a level 8 Lime on the Obstacle Course. Given the Lime's weakness is the Scavenger Hunt, and strength is the Cage Match, it seems to reason some bonuses of the Dice are in play.
