Added some high drop bonus data. The observed rates values include the +40% drop bonus data from Yiab. Quite a lot of error on these, but it's fairly likely that both drops are 20%. --Flargen 12:56, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Amount healed from special move/frequency

The slashes represent each page load, so, on the last hit, the monster did not get a turn. 19/19,heal/13,heal/17/19 (gaunt) 68-2heal<hp<85-2heal
24/16,heal/0/11,heal/16/12 (glut) 67-2heal<hp<=79-2heal
13/15/22/22 (gaunt) 50-72
17/21/19/0/12,heal/18 (gaunt) heal<=18
12,heal/17,heal/14,heal/23,heal/17/36 (glut) 93-4heal<hp<129-4heal
0/17,heal/21/15,heal/18,heal/17 (glut) heal<=17, 71-3heal<hp<87-3heal
19/18/15,heal/16/17 (gaunt) 68-heal<hp<85-heal
18/13/18,heal/17/13 (gaunt) 66-heal<hp<79-heal
12/17/20/26 (glut)
14,heal/17,heal/13,heal/14/46 (gaunt) 54-3heal<hp<100-3heal
23,heal/12/11/18/18 (gaunt) 57-heal<hp<75-heal

i have a stainless steel scarf equipped, so, the ghuols should have about 66 hp (50+20*.8?) I also always had inititive on the monsters.

i took the scarf off for a few battles. I tried to kill people with smaller damage packets here.
4 attacks, no heal (gaunt)
14/19,heal/14/2/3/2 (gaunt) 52-heal<hp<54-heal
12/17/14,heal/15 (gaunt) 53-heal<hp<68-heal
11/14/21/2,heal/2 (gaunt) heal<2
11/13,heal/17/16/1 (glut) 57-heal<hp<58-heal
5 attacks, no heal (glut)
20,heal/12/19/1/3,heal/3/2,heal/21 (glut) 60-3heal<hp<81-3heal

from these cases, it is clear that it could heal as little as one hp. (or maybe zero)

From this i can surmise that the amount healed is at the least 0-10 [or 0-15] (i've been informed jick likes multiples of 5). I assume that ghuols all heal the same. Looking at the cases where the monster healed more than 3 times, we have
93-4heal<hp<129-4heal (61<hp<71) heal > 5.5 & heal < 17
71-3heal<hp<87-3heal (61<hp<71) heal > 0 & heal < 9
54-3heal<hp<100-3heal (61<hp<71) heal > 5.67 & heal < 13
60-3heal<hp<81-3heal (45<hp<55) heal > 1.67 & heal < 12
our four estimates of xbar are 11.25, 4.5, 9.33, 6.84 an unweighted average gives 7.98, though any confidence interval would be very large.

Assuming i counted correctly, the chance of activation is as follows Overall, 24 heals from 78 chances (30.7%) and
for gluttunous, 13 heals from 29 chances (44.8%) and
for gaunt ghuols, 11 heals from 49 chances (22.4%)

Seeing this, it may be true that gaunt has a lower activation than gluttonous, but putting 30% for both should be sufficient more than anything short of yiab volumes of spading.

Without any additional data, I would say that it has a 30% chance of activating and heals 1-15 uniformly, though 1-10 would also be feasable. --Currman 16:46, 7 May 2007 (CDT)

Rather than trying to parse that data... Here's some new data!

  • 2->12->14->18
  • 13->14->24->33
Rounds Activations
129 38

...And some observations: The ghuol doesn't heal unless it's below its max HP. If the ghuol is above full health (for example, being at 48/50 and healing for 10), it won't heal again unless it's below max HP again, even if it takes additional damage. More data, of course, needed. --TechSmurf 05:49, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Looks like ths gaunt/gluttonous ghuol share a healing range of 1-10, and activate 30% of the time. --TechSmurf 08:06, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
