Talk:Gauze hammock

From A KoL Wiki

The hammock is installed in your house, and adds another 50 hp gain to the normal housing. --Mephistopheleus 17:14, 8 February 2008 (CST)

So, yeah. I think it's pretty safe, based off the item ID, that this is going to be a mummy wrapping item. --Ricket 21:41, 8 October 2007 (CDT)

Not sure where to ask this (since it isn't directly related to the item), but I got a weird error page after submitting my edits. Significant? --Rotarran 18:26, 3 November 2007 (CDT)

  • I'm pretty sure it's related to the fact that this item has no RSS feed for the collection yet. So long as the edits commit, I don't think it's a problem. --Bagatelle 18:28, 3 November 2007 (CDT)

If this is unimplemented, did Ashallond hack to get it? so we cant get this item yet? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TehChozenOne (talkcontribs) on 08:14 GMT, on 7 January 2008

Ashallond said he was given this item by Jick. Also, on 29/1/2008 on the Jick show, he stated that this item is a campground item similar to the Beanbag Chair but giving you HP only instead of MP only. --Urutsini 20:53, 28 January 2008 (CST)

Making a Gauze Hammock

It takes 10 pieces of Mummy Wrapping to make one. Myznil 12:16, 8 February 2008 (CST)Myznil

Reading this discussion page told me what the hammock does: an extra 50 hp when resting. However, this isn't mentioned anywhere in the article. Any thoughts? Mixie 04:25, 20 March 2008 (CDT)

  • In fact, it is +60 HP when you Rest. The magnifying glass added in today's trivial update confirms it, and I also ran a test really quickly on a multi: with a House, and installed hammock, and a Pagoda in the campsite, he got 140 HP. (40 HP house *2 pagoda) +60 hammock.--Terion 21:24, 25 March 2008 (CDT)
    • and the mag. glass's text when you have a hammock: Your dwelling has the following stuff inside it: (picture/name of gauze hammock) This big, bandage-like hammock will heal your injuries as you sleep, allowing you to recover an additional 60 HP each time you rest.--Terion 21:24, 25 March 2008 (CDT)

Today, Febtober 1, is a Muscle stat day. I burned down my old housing to put up an empty Newbie tent. With a Pagoda and the stat day, I gained 38, 39, or 40 HP each time I rested over several trials. I then installed a gauze hammock, and rested several more times, and found I was gaining 98, 99, or 100 HP. The +60 HP for the hammock is not doubled by the stat day's full moon, so I am removing that information from the page. --Terion 21:16, 11 April 2008 (CDT)

seach problem

For some reason, searching for "guaze hammock" either here or at the mall brings up no results. I have to search for "hammock." However, if i cut and paste "guaze hammock" from the mall, I am brought to this article. What gives? Is there a secret, fake letter or something? Limp zombie 03:14, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

  • Because it's... Spelled "Gauze"? --TechSmurf 03:16, 17 June 2008 (CDT)
    • Have you tried searching for "Guaze" or "guaze?" I get no results. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Limp Zombie (talkcontribs)
      • Because it's spelled GAUZE. --TechSmurf 16:01, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

ah. I see. Limp zombie 16:03, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

Simple (possibly noobish) question

Can you remove a hammock (in the case of replacing dwellings)? —Einstein runner 01:51, 16 August 2008 (CDT)

  • AFAIK, if you replace a dwelling all its contained stuff is lost. which would include the hammock. --Evilkolbot 02:02, 16 August 2008 (CDT)

Also, if you try to install a beanbag or another bed, it will ask if you want to remove the hammock. Why anyone would ever want to remove a hammock is beyond me. --Ashallond 09:21, 16 August 2008 (CDT)
