Talk:Glass of Orange Juice

From A KoL Wiki
  • Dunno how to add images, but his is here (direct link removed; it's been added to the wiki) --Keejus 16:17, 1 July 2007 (CDT)
    • It's not too hard. There will be a red link for it on the page, you click it, there's an upload page, and there you go. I took care of it for you, though. What a bizarre enemy. --Jorgen 10:05, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
  • Gained 75 substat from the fight (no stat day, no stat gaining items or familiars. Had a Ghost Pickle on a Stick with me that didn't manage a level-lowering attack during the fight.) Got an orange peel hat and a green clay bead. The adventure occurred just when the battlefield filenames on the hippy side turned from 31 to 32 (3 sidequests done). Don't know if that matters though. --Trilusion 08:08, 10 August 2007 (CDT)
  • He describes in great detail all of the adventures he's had while he was on drugs. The description of his hallucinations is partly amusing, but mostly boring. You chew the insides of your mouth to stay awake. is the critical. (I'm a Sauce with outrageous Moxie, and this is the one that hit.)--MaskedLihc 00:59, 20 August 2007 (CDT)
  • Couldn't hit him normally or using moxious maneuver with moxie at 192. --Asinine 15:49, 8 September 2007 (CDT)

I added a new hit message Mrjingjing 13:50, 24 September 2007 (CDT)

  • Doing a little spading, I found that glass of orange juice's stats were higher than listed. No, I don't have any +ML. Tried to finish him off with spices to get an accurate hit point reading, but I cut it off at 336. Also, he was hitting me with my moxie at 227 but not often which leads me to think that it's close to the no hit limit --Soup of can 18:59, 13 November 2007 (CST)
  • Looks like it drops more than just the items listed on the article. I just had this encounter and it dropped: (--Dossy 18:48, 22 December 2007 (CST))
You acquire an item: green clay bead
You acquire an item: orange peel hat
You acquire an item: reinforced beaded headband
  • Hey guys, just encountered him now and have the Can Has Cyborger effect:
O hai, I made dis for you: green clay bead
O hai, I made dis for you: orange peel hat
INVISIBLE BULLET-PROOF CORDUROYS
INVISIBLE REINFORCED BEADED HEADBAND

So I assume it never drops the glasses? --FrostbiteXIII 20:01, 27 July 2008 (CDT)

  • Cyborger isn't guaranteed to show everything that doesn't drop as an "invisible" item. So he could still drop them. Probably does since he drops the other two pieces. --Flargen 20:16, 27 July 2008 (CDT)
  • I got 435 meat, green clay bead, and the orange peel hat; with +7% meat drop, +17 percent item drop, and a 25 lb baby gravy fairy.--Knobula 12:57, 28 December 2007 (CST)
    • Just encountered him again, on a different account. Received green clay bead by pickpocket, then 417 meat, orange peel hat; with +7 meat, +17 percent item drop, and a 25 lb baby gravy fairy.--Knobula 02:59, 29 December 2007 (CST)

No resistance?

Is it possible that because the monster drops an item giving restance to all elements, then it might not actually have an elemental resistance? It may also attack with each kind of resistance too... Just a thought

Mrjingjing 13:35, 27 September 2007 (CDT)

  • It has a weakness to cold, as I'm doing double damage with cold spells to it. I don't know what resistance it has, and I don't know the other weakness. --Strstrep 23:02, 11 December 2007 (CST)
    • That would probably be due to Stench alignment. --Quietust (t|c) 23:06, 11 December 2007 (CST)
  • Definately dealt it some (96) pink sleaze damage - not sure if this is lots more or less than it should be tho, sorry.

Possible Encounter Trigger

I encountered this monster when fighting the war against the hippies without doing side-quests. I noticed that it was the second to last fight before I was done. Perhaps this adventure only occurs when you fight the hippies after killing 998 hippies.

This would be "easy" enough to disprove. Someone just has to verify that the monster has been encountered at some other point in the hippie killing. I can say that since I don't have more than one of the orange peel hats, I only encountered it once in 1,000 hippie fights.

Vastly harder to prove, of course. I'll run the war the same way next run and see if I see the same results (and maybe not be on auto-pilot enough to get a HP value). If so, it raises the question of if it happens when you do some of the side-quests. -- Chartan 02:45, 16 December 2007 (CST)

  • I just encountered this enemy when I had 38 adventures left. The Battlefield image was down to 1 hippy when I had 12 left, which (I think) makes it the 974th hippy for me. (No sidequests were completed)--Knobula 12:57, 28 December 2007 (CST)
    • Just encountered him again, on a different account. However, after killing him there are still 3 hippies in the battlefield image (no sidequests completed); and I only have 13 adventures left, so being in oxycore, I think it'll be at least 2 more days (106 adv) before I finish the hippies with this account.--Knobula 02:59, 29 December 2007 (CST)
      • Encountered with (I think) 81 hippies remaining (73 after his defeat -- all six side-quests completed). Battlefield image is bfright29.gif, with two hippies. Clearly this encounter is not tied to killing 998 hippies --Baltar 18:10, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
  • Encountered at adventure 13774 of the ascension, finished battlefield at 13875 of ascension, so it appeared 101 adventures (hippies) before the end of the war for me with one character.--MindlessGames 18:19, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
  • Bumped into him with 49 hippies left.. image bfright30.. Could it be that the chance to encounter is inversely proportional to the number of hippies remaining? --Laeal 08:41, 28 June 2008 (CDT)

Not sure how the averages for drops are figured out, but figured I would include my encounter results: 419 Meat, 33 Beefiness, 11 Mysteriousness, 13 Cheek (Mongoose SC, no meat or other +stat modifiers), dropped green clay bead and orange peel hat (with spooky gravy fairy as current familiar). Encountered after clearing all side quests in hippy gear and nearly done clearing the battlefield in frat gear. -- LilyNoire 02:49, 31 May 2008 (CDT)

  • bfright29.gif for me (EDIT: Believe I had 77 more hippies to kill... hippies piss me off), no sidequests completed.

Simpson's Reference?

I don't want to just remove it from the article, but... How is this adventure a reference to that Simpson's scene? Both mention orange juice? Am I missing something here? Mixie 08:16, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

It's an attempt to explain the hit message where the orange juice burns you.--Bale 08:21, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
