Talk:Gnollish toolbox

From A KoL Wiki

Assuming that the items come up with approximately the same total frequency (which I have some data to support, but not enough to be conclusive), the math works out thus:

Odds of a 2-item box not dropping a meat tank = (75% * 75%) = 56.25% odds of a 3-item box not dropping a meat tank = (75% * 75% * 75%) = 42.19%

Odds of getting a 2-item box: 50% odds of getting a 3-item box: 50%

total odds of not getting a meat tank = (50% * 56.25%) + (50% * 42.19%) = 49.22%

In my experience, the chance of getting an empty meat tank is signifantly lower than getting the rest. Avail. and prices in the mall speak for themselves. --Tomthe3rd 05:11, 12 August 2006 (CDT)

  • One reason that the prices for cog, sprocket and spring are lower than the meat tank is that there many more ways to get those three objects (Thugnderdome, Halloween, DeGrassi Knoll) as compared to a meat tank. --Pastamancer5 13:15, 12 August 2006 (CDT)
  • Yep. The chances are much lower.--Jubbers 00:22, 4 November 2006 (CST)
    • No, as evidenced by Yiab's data below. --Jonrock 18:29, 4 November 2006 (CST)

Degrassy shopping list

Is it just me or is anyone else not getting an empty meat tank until they have read the shopping list? --Xclockwatcher 17:59, 30 October 2007 (CDT)

  • If you mean actually read, I never read the list and have always eventually gotten a tank. If you mean "before receiving the list," I don't know for certain, but I doubt it would have an effect as Muscle signs can just buy a tank. --Bagatelle 22:37, 30 October 2007 (CDT)
